What do you want as a future tnt wars weapon?

I'm not really sure if it's scriptable for the bomb to work only 5 levels above the ground on specific levels

What Marn said, pretty much. It's not really useful.

Perhaps a sort of orbital cannon.
You place down a piece of gold ore, and a 3x3 stream of lava shoots from the sky, cutting through everything but bedrock. It then makes sort of an invisible field for the rest of the match that, if anyone enters is, dies, and the player laucnh the cannon gets points for it. Unless team kill, obviously. Then points should be removed. But it's highly expensive and can only be used once every 1000 rounds.
And some kind of AI has to post "Ion Cannon charging" in the chatbox, signifying it can be used, or it won't work anyway. Basically, it's first come, first NOT DEAD.
I'm certain this would never be made though.

Um, no. Numerous of those things are incorrect:
One bedrock for 11000 points? It takes me an hour to get 500. No.
A minigun? We have lazers. Yelow cloth? That's C4.
Instant health? It's either dead or not dead. Invincibility for a minute? Overpowered. For 88888 points?
Try and think stuff through first.

Name: Sniper Rifle.
Price: I'd say 50 or 100.
Function: Senses players within a certain range (thinkin' five by default.) and places a cherry bomb sized blast in their location, killing them.
Upgrades:
Range +1: Increases range by 1. Price: 10000
Range +2: Increases range again. Price: 20000
Spreader: Makes 3 explosions per launch. Price: 50000

Pistols shoot farther than 5 blocks.
Not sniping if unupgraded pistols can match it.

I know, but I'm thinking it would fire in all directions, essentially locking on to an in-range target. So, it'd pretty much be promised to hit if the target stays withing five blocks.

Actually, if I remember right, this was suggested and denied on the old forums. Don't remember the exact reason though.

You obviously have not played TNT that much in the past time.
Trust me, they are deadly as hell.

How it works:you place determind block it takes 3 secounds then detinates setting of medium explosion wich upon explosion sending of 6 or 4 blocks of tnt launched about 5 blocks away for each peice of tnt. Then those detinate in maybe 3 or more secounds.
