Down below the cliff, the camped men are getting quite irritated by one of their companions, Nemo, as he attempts to give a lecture to them about some of the problems with the English language.

"...and what if I say this: "I beat the man with the dead fish...""

"Would you shut up?"

"...You see, is it me holding the fish while I beat the man with it..."

"Sounds like a highly ineffective way to kill someone. Smelly and ineffective."

"...or am I beating the man while he holds the dead fish?..."

"Sounds like a classy fellow."

"...Just look at all the problems with this statement. It is so ambiguous that no one could truly know the meaning of it!..."

"He's still getting fucking beaten."

"...We could begin to fix so many of our problems if we only understood the problems with our own language!..."

"I'm going to shoot you with this gun if you don't shut up, and yes, I am holding the fucking gun."

A guard called out from the post, "We're not bloody idiots you know. Everyone here knows each other. There aren't so many of us that we wouldn't know another person. And even if you did go missing, I can bet on my life I've never heard of some 'Xeon'."

The map bandit journeys with the strange man to a settlement, burning down his home in the process.

I was a fool…

Night’s wicked fingers had wrapped a veil of darkness over the haze-filled sky…
And still, the sands radiated overbearing heat against my skin as it wrapped around my being…
I knew I was nearing my end…
I, was struggling…
It had been hours since the last gunshot rang in the fade of the twilight…
My thirst had become unbearable since then… But I pushed on, my steps staggering with greater intensity was the moments passed…
I tried… But that vigor had long since disappeared…

…I stumbled.
My sight faded to a murky blackness…
And the knees that had once supported me, buckled unto themselves…
I groped at the hilt of my worn, iron shovel for support, but it was knocked away…
Only when my body slumped against the hard, coarse dirt did I realize what had occurred…
I had fallen…
And only as my motionless body laid there, I knew I was done for…
And as the globes I had called eyes flickered into closing…
It was only a brief moment... But the sound of bustle, and the small outline of light was illuminated in the distance...

So close...
Then it all faded...
[probably won't respond right away / make another post soon. Going to re-read the whole thread again before I do anything]

Back at inner Haven, Ray and Tess walks out of the Mess Hall.
The dinner was awful, as usual.
The sky is now glittering with a wide array of stars.
The moon shone dimly as Ray and Tess proceeds to the Town Hall.

Time to get her into the housings.Ray thought.

Ray and Tess enters the Town Hall.
They were greeted back by the secretary.

"Hey Eve, can you set her up on her housing please?" Ray said.

Evelyn, the secretary, is stillscampering through the files that is on her desk.
As usual, it's filled with information regarding the wasteland, new locations, team data, and other things that Ray can't understand.

"Evelyn, HEY, i'm talking to you."
"Wha- Oh. Ohh. It's you, Ray. What can i do for you now?" She replied.
"Set her up on a housing. We don't want her sleeping on the streets now would we?" Ray joked.
"Sure. it'll be the second house to the left." She explains as she pointed the location on her roughly drawn map of Haven.

[Sorry for this late response XD]

Ray walked outside without saying a word. She got up and followed him. She noticed the moon dimly shinning above the town. The sky was covered with stars.

It's so beautiful...

She follows Ray to Town Hall, following him inside.

"Hey Eve, can you set her up on her housing please?" Ray said.

The secretary seemed to busy, doing god knows what. Tess keeps quiet, letting Ray talk since he seems to know what he is doing.

"Evelyn, HEY, i'm talking to you."

"Wha- Oh. Ohh. It's you, Ray. What can i do for you now?" She replied.

"Set her up on a housing. We don't want her sleeping on the streets now would we?" Ray joked.

She smiled a little at Ray's joke. She started to grow fond of him. He was being nice to her, almost like a friend would.

When the secretary showed her the area of where she would be, she nodded.

"Thanks Eve."

She turned to face Ray.

"So. Would you mind escorting me to my room?" she asks, laughing a little.

The time sweeper, having been given no explanation as to where to go, wandered around Haven trying to find their leader.
Damn, this is harder than I expected, 'specially for a place like this.
He saw a man a teen boy and girl walk out of a building, so he went there. He noticed that it was the town hall.
He asked the secretary, "Hey, ya know where I can find th' leader of this fort? Mark let me in and told me t' see him after I told him 'bout a group of bandits that I killed off which planned t' come 'ere."

[Ok, I'm really sorry, but I'm just too busy to be a part of this thread. If anybody wants to take over my character or kill him, that's fine with me. Sorry again, I wouldn't have joined if I knew I was going to be this inactive.]

"Sure" Ray replied.

The Twosome left the Town Hall, walking to the north side of Haven to escort her into her housing.
But before they left far from town hall, Mark crossed by.
Ray then remembered that Mecra's still missing, and Mark probably knows where to look for her.

"Hey, Mark." Hollered Ray.
"I'm kinda busy right now. I need to bring some bolts back for the guards. What do you need?" Mark replied.
"Look. Mecra's missing. He probably didn't go far. I need you to look around in Haven. See if you can find him."
"Alright. I think I know who to ask."

Ray then moved along and escorted Tess into the housing.

Meanwhile...

After Mark delivered the bolts to the guards, he went to the infirmary.
He entered the room where the girl Mecra asked to take in was.
He slammed the door as he entered. He was not greeted kindly by her.

"Where is he. Mecra."

She followed Ray out of the Town Hall and continued to follow him to where she will sleep. She started to let her mind wander.

Before she knew it, she and Ray were in front of the building. She followed him inside it.

"Thank you Ray. You're really nice to me. I don't seem why you should though. I'm not always the nicest person."

She looked down at her feet, feeling too afraid to lock eyes with him.

"What, he make off with all your valuables? Killed your leader? Ate the last sweetbun?" Kallen laughed. "I have no reason to tell you as long as I'm tied down like this. But if you are looking for him to hurt him, I'd like to be able to assist you in killing that bastard. If you think he got lost like the fool he is, then I'll trade my freedom for his probable location. Though, by now, it's probably too late to stop him."

The inhabitants of the camp finally slumbered on their cots. The man crept up to a rock, lying in wait until the deep night took their minds. He moved across the ground, his feet silently tip-toed on the dusty earth. He approached a horse, dark black in color. The creature stirred and began making soft nervous whinnies.

"Shhshh" He said while rubbing the creatures muzzle. It calmed considerably, as he always did have a talent with animal empathy.

However, the horse's head turned sharply and its eyes grew large, letting out a loud sharp whinny.

The man had turned around too late, as before he could he received a hit to the back of his head. Darkness fell in his mind, and he fell to the ground, unconscious.

hmm... I need her information without risking anything. She sounds like someone that can't be trusted. Even i can see it through Ray as well...
"Well, he probably did, and we're hunting him down. Where is he? Tell Me. NOW."

The awakened men searched through their captive. Taking anything they found useful. One finds a marking burnt onto his right pec.

"He bears the mark of the exile upon his chest."

"...and sent out here to die."

"Tie him up, I'm sure we'll find some use for him. He looks like to be good servant."

The White Man now resides inside of his small temporary shack; found in a natural cave. The cover of the cave is covered with hefty amounts of foliage, he takes a sip of some water he placed in one of his old, green circular canteens, and he continues drinking. He thinks of what had happened with the man he met, and he needed to make a decision: whether to kill the two men or to leave them be. Originally, The White Man had taken thought that they could be of some use, but after talking to the young man from earlier, he gained bad impressions from him. The man seemed like an inbred, no-mannered man.

He continued sipping from a small make-shift cup. He put the cup down afterwards for a moment, moving back to his sniper rifle which he was earlier cleaning. He brings the rifle onto his lap so he can readjust his sights, looking through the scope of the weapon. He slowly changes the zeroing and position of the scope before placing it back beside him. Afterwards, he takes another sip of his water, cotinuing to decide what to do...

[ IT'S A TRAP!

Anyway, please, continue. I may return back to my group of 3, after rereading and possibly playing again. Though, that will all have to come down to my decision tomorrow, because I only have 20 minutes left until I have to go to bed. ]
[Currently me and harmak are waiting on Sp3c, since he has writer's block right now]
