Just a little disclaimer, this map is "Based" of the Uncharted 2 Shambhala area, it is not a direct recreation as that was nearly impossible to pull off with the limited space :'(

And here is a video of the mission in Uncharted 2 where most of what I built can be seen. Particularity at 20 seconds in. *SPOILERS* for those who didn't beat the game. Also, the same peep doing the walkthrough has the opening sequence to this area in his "Part (32) Yetis are Blue Dudes"

Notes: Well, I made this map to create an exciting, new gameplay style by having survivors have to find their way and they must keep moving if they want to survive. Hunters will be able to jump high without fall damage and they can run twice as fast. It adds a heightened sense of danger in my opinion. It would be fun to watch the hunters jumping all over the tops of the trees trying to ambush people running away in the forest. I do feel that the waterfalls are fair as every hunter kit has at least 3 ender pearls. The river is one block deep for the sole purpose that survivors that are pushed off will die due to falling damage from up high. This map has plenty of hiding spots as well as plenty of ways that a hunter (or group of hunters) can get the survivors.
The only way to survive is to group together in one of 5 main areas, or just run and hid in the forest if you want to. *Note* The forest isn't entirely accessible as many paths are blocked off by leaves, making it impossible to go further.
Download Link: The map is currently in my Buildbox plot which you can get to by using /warp radman573. There is a schematic for this map called "radmap" towards the bottom of the schematic list. PLEASE LET ME SEE THE MAP IN A WORLD FORMAT SO I CAN MAKE SURE IT IS CORRECT. I do not know how to turn a schematic into a world and I would prefer to see the map before it goes in as I had some problems with the past two maps I made :(

I would like for survivors to have NO POTION EFFECTS when they start, but I would like:hunters to have a Speed 2 with Jump Boost 3 or 4 (Whichever lets you jump 6-7 blocks or so) AND no fall damage for ALL HUNTERS ONLY.
I do not yet know the exact spawn location because I do not have a world file but the spawn would be right in front of the giant door with the pillars and wooden roof thingy.

Wow, I really like this map. I think it will be really fun to play on. At first I thought it would maybe be a bit too big, but with the hunters getting speed and jump I think that balances it out.
I think that the map will be very fun to play on and I would really like to see it in AoD.
The kits seem fine, and I will get onto the input file shortly. I will obviously ask for any information needed, but I did notice that you didn't give me the co-ordinates for the center of the map :p
It's a +1 from me, good luck!
EDIT: Actually, I suggest adding more arrows to 'Scout' ;)

Oh, I don't think so, i've always just gone with the co ords in buildbox and it's been fine :eek:

I do not know how to place a schematic into a world so...... yeah. If someone could tell me how then I will be happy to do it myself :D

Mk here goes:
Type /help maps, then do the //schematic thing or whatever, then go to the link provided (remember, to save the schematic, just select your entire plot with //wand)
Then go to the link, and search for what you named your maps file.
When you find it, click on it to DL it, then open it up in MC Edit (It should be first result on google). You may have to change the ".schematic" part of your maps name to ".dat" so you can get it MC Edit.
Then select the area of the map you want, then save it as a MC world. You can also probably find the coords in MC Edit.
Then just make sure it saves to where you MC saves are, then go into minecraft and then your good!

Hope this helps, sorry if its confusing, doing it from memory!

I do not know how to place a schematic into a world so...... yeah. If someone could tell me how then I will be happy to do it myself :D

Mk here goes:
Type /help maps, then do the //schematic thing or whatever, then go to the link provided (remember, to save the schematic, just select your entire plot with //wand)
Then go to the link, and search for what you named your maps file.
When you find it, click on it to DL it, then open it up in MC Edit (It should be first result on google). You may have to change the ".schematic" part of your maps name to ".dat" so you can get it MC Edit.
Then select the area of the map you want, then save it as a MC world. You can also probably find the coords in MC Edit.
Then just make sure it saves to where you MC saves are, then go into minecraft and then your good!

Um......... did you put in the potion effects for the hunters? I don't see anything in the level file that shows that. Maybe I just don't know where it is or if it is in the lvl file at all :(

Also, the survivors cannot break any blocks at all, the part for that in the code is left blank.

Mk here goes:
Type /help maps, then do the //schematic thing or whatever, then go to the link provided (remember, to save the schematic, just select your entire plot with //wand)
Then go to the link, and search for what you named your maps file.
When you find it, click on it to DL it, then open it up in MC Edit (It should be first result on google). You may have to change the ".schematic" part of your maps name to ".dat" so you can get it MC Edit.
Then select the area of the map you want, then save it as a MC world. You can also probably find the coords in MC Edit.
Then just make sure it saves to where you MC saves are, then go into minecraft and then your good!

Hope this helps, sorry if its confusing, doing it from memory!

Also, I made it so the survivors can't break any blocks by putting 'true' after survivor restricted place all :p

The classes are kind of questionable, they should be alright. I feel like you could of added more into the map and could of added a bit more detail to it. The platforms on the side's of the map just look like you sphered a couple spheres in there and you smoothed over the top. I can still tell from the bottom of the platforms that they were world edited. I don't like to see obvious world edit on maps. 0 for now leaning to a +1 till I see some improvements in the maps terrain and structures.

Well it depends what baker wants to do. If he's happy waiting for a bit for you to update it, that's fine with me, it's just it will create hassle D:
But please do try hard to update it ASAP still ;)

Alright, I have finished updating and making more stuff in the map.

I fixed the world edit mess as well as added a lot of stuff in the forests to make them less boring for survivors.

PLEASE NOTE: THE SCHEMATIC IS UNDERGROUND PARTIALLY

Sorry for the change but I wanted to add another ruin and it went underground a bit :(

It shouldn't really change the overall size, about 20-30 blocks further down at most.

I was actually thinking the same thing when I first made the map. Not sure if it is possible to do that though, sorry :(

I would naturally assume that a hunter would try to use it right away because they would be at a serious disadvantage if they didn't. It is a good point and it shouldn't be overlooked, but I do not know of any way around it other than changing the kit (which wouldn't be the best because I wanted something different for a change :( )
