Surprisingly enough the crickets and lavae worms tasted nice. I couldn't eat the scorpions because I bitched out.

These tarantulas tasted like flavoured grit.

So... I hear they eat roaches in New Zealand.

Where is this place? Is it anywhere near the inner city?

ITT: Everyone eats relatively normal food except me

When I was in Viet Nam for a few months I would drink a glass of snake blood every morning from a vendor right down the street from where I was staying
I'm pretty much a snake man now

Blood chocolate pancakes are the bomb. Try it with eggs and bacon plus ketchup and maple syrup...once a year I eat this. :)

I'm not sure if this is necessarily "unusual", but I've had poutine. Honestly, it's the best thing I've ever eaten, and you can only get good poutine in Canada. It's basically fries, slightly melted cheese curds, and gravy. I love it, but I can't get it in America, because somehow Americans manage to screw up the simpple recipe

Nobody's mentioned frog legs yet so I guess they're not as weird? (They honestly do taste like slightly sweetened chicken though.)

So yeah, frog legs, deep fried calamari, and sushi are my unusual ones that I can think of for now.

And oh god that calamari was wonderful and fried to perfection. It melted in your mouth like butter.

A lot of canadian places screw it up too. I've only found 1 bar that I really like it from. Everywhere else just seems to be meh.
