  • February '16 Update
    • Ironman activation limits changed to 5 mins for 20+ min rounds, 15 or under has Ironman disabled.
    • IRC replaced by Discord
    • The server can now give supercookies out via a command, so they can be used as vote rewards.
    • Rank Up signs now work with Trusted ranks
    • The map name shows up on the scoreboard
    • Titles show up at the start of rounds!
    • Votes can now be clicked in chat
    • Crumbs are included (to the best of my ability) in /ck bal

  • We are currently working through the bugs of 1.9 to try and fix them, and we're getting a good few squashed.
  • /mail has been added as a (better) replacement to the now closed staff mailboxes - the same /mail as used on Create
  • We have added LimitCreative to stop people from duping items from Creative
  • ShowcaseStandalone is fixed! You can now buy items without having that terrible dupe.
  • We are currently looking through map submissions and suggestions! Please bear with us.
  • There's a nice survey if you want to take part in it. See the "We need your help!" post.
  • We've added two double chests called the "Community Chests" for you to put your unwanted blocks, items or whatever in for a newer player to take. Please give generously!

RoF Update 2016 (14/05/16)
  • IT’S ALL BEEN RESET
  • Tokens of Ascension introduced as rankup currency to go with cookies
  • Cookies no longer earned in rounds
  • Mood and speed are now separate
  • An achievement system has been implemented
  • /nominate command added to nominate a map for the map vote
  • Players must be in the round 80% of the time for a win to count
  • A couple of sound effects have been added! Use /togglesounds if you don’t like them.
  • The default join and leave messages have been changed
  • The scoreboard has been given a small makeover
  • The server’s lagging a bit less when the map starts!
  • Maps that did not win in the vote will now disappear for longer
  • Methods to stop pushing are being attempted to be implemented. They don’t work atm.
  • A new /help has been implemented
  • Ironman has been disabled
  • ‘/ironman who’ has been added as an “alias” for ‘/ironman list’
  • Staff ontime is now automatically tracked. Maybe. No idea if it works.
  • More additions are planned as RoF resumes receiving faster, smaller updates

Beta Update 1 - 18/05/16
  • NEW COMMAND - /seen - Same as on AoD: see a user's past usernames
  • NEW COMMAND - /meltable - a command to find if a block melts. Not entirely accurate yet. Use some common sense if it says ice doesn't melt.
  • Staff ontimes for the week are now automatically tracked.
  • Speeds are now named after Classic Lava speeds - Turtle, Llama, Cheetah, African Swallow.
  • Minor bugfixes

Beta Update 2 - 12/06/16
  • NEW COMMAND - /warnings - view your warnings. Will give a perm error atm though, just give me until tomorrow.
  • IMPORTANT - rank prices have been lowered
  • Expert now has access to plots for 6000, the same price as Master. Will you go for Master or for a plot?
  • /lsinfo will either work brilliantly or give an internal error. I haven't tested it. The plan is for you to be able to see nobreak/place/drop blocks though.
  • You can walk through people!
  • Not yet added, but coming soon: Restarted Belt Work

Beta Update 3 - 26/06/16
  • /meltable now supports the parameters 'block' (for the block you're looking at), 'hand' (for the block in your hand) and 'offhand' (is it not a bit obvious now?).
  • Chances of harder moods being played has been increased.
  • Mods now have the ability to do .cmd in chat. Previously this was not enabled due to it giving people the permissions to do anything, but it has been custom-coded into RoF.

The Settings Update - 06/07/16
  • A /settings menu has been added to toggle your settings.
  • This gives you the ability to toggle whether you hear sound effects, see people in Deathrun and see ChatReaction.
  • If you toggle the Deathrun option mid-round, it probably won't work. My fault, I haven't added that in. That's coming in super soon™.
  • Bows are going to be disabled in KotL in a day or so.

King of the Updates - 09/08/16
  • KOTL ROTATION HAS BEEN IMPLEMENTED BAYBAY
    • We're just judging the arenas from the KotL comp, and we will add some in once that has finished!
  • Multiple spawns have also been implemented, so you may now have different spawn points in your map!
  • KotL is now played in adventure mode - that's your Deathrun inventory fyi. Inventories in KotL will be saved upon death (not on server yet, but will be in a couple of hours)
  • New KotL rewards are coming soon!
  • ShowCaseStandalone has been edited to our needs.
  • At least with our update we haven't released it with a million bugs like AoD did. (sick burn :cool:)

The Airhole Update - 14/08/16
  • Airholes no longer generate! Hallelujah!
    • Some maps where the airholes have saved will need fixing, and the RoF staff will now go in and remove them. However, they will no longer generate!
    • This was caused by essentially a typo, as in the config we were trying to place MONSTER_EGG, which is a spawn egg item, instead of MONSTER_EGGS, which is a silverfish block. Go figure. /blamespigot
  • That's it. It's just that I'm very happy it's fixed.

The Rewarding Update - 25/08/16
  • There is a new rewards system for King of the Ladder!
    • No longer will you be stuck with 8 coal - earn prizes from sticks to diamonds!
    • There are about 76 rewards in the configuration, some rarer than others.
    • Please note that I use an automated pluraliser, so it's not my fault when it gives you "64 rotten fleshes".
  • Nominate now supports tab-completion! This means that you can now press tab in the middle of typing a map name and get suggestions as to what you might be typing.
  • The mood percentages have been changed from 55% - 30% - 15% chances of getting calm, annoyed and angry respectively to 70% - 20% - 10%, as we felt they were a bit too much.
  • Mending removed from fishing rewards
  • Mending made impossible to drop. We have plans though! At least we think we do...
  • Removed Herobrine.
