Random Tip Messages

Simple concept, Add in some useful messages giving players information they might not know with the usual reminder of sexiness or alkatraz's updating duties, featuring such classics as

- Its much harder to kill you with pistols when you jump!
- You can buy more than 1 of an item at a time! eg. /buy 12 pistol
- Check out /store for a full list of weaponry, there's more than just TNT.
- /help goes a long way

and much much more! potentially

A few minor changes.

A couple I've thought of:

Use /upgrades weapon to see all available upgrades!
TNT is free, select it with B!

(Also, I'd suggest removing the "GmK is the n00biest!" one, because people go "Who's GmK???")

What about a / command to allow you to disable these things from popping up on your screen:

Not sure how easy it would be to do that. And quite frankly, I don't see the point!

But yeah, some of the suggested ones like CTF, /who and /upgrades would help people out I think.

I kind of support Darth's idea of removing the one about gmk (or just all of those messages in particular). It makes me cringe everytime someone asks that, and it also leads to the explaining the concept of pings and why they shouldn't happen.

You get my point.

Maybe you can put in the requirements of becoming Trusted. And if it's too long, maybe a command like /requirements or /req to show what is needed to apply, and some helpful tips for applying.

I think that we have staff for that to explain, even some people of the playerbase could easily explain it.
Not to mention that when someone asks about any staff rank, a lot of people would say "Use /req".
But thanks for your idea though :)

Perhaps a list of the currently added tips could be posted in this thread somehwere to prevent that?

One thing: Shouldn't "Use /help to improve your knowledge on lots if items" be "Use /itemhelp to improve your knowledge on lots of items?"

I want a cmd to disable those "useless" messages. Active players know those things. I need the important stuff in my chat.

I'd like some changes go along with this cmd: /skip says "1 out of X skips to pass the map" (won't take two lines anymore.), remove the help. Removes "you are now on the red/blue team." -> it says "NAME joined the COLOR team" anyway.

Using /skip in-between rounds could skip the next map!
