What is it?
Microsoft runs a program that allows students of any age and level to get their software for free! The software Microsoft offers is targeted towards IT uses and includes:
  • four-year subscription to Office 365(Word, PowerPoint, etc.)
  • copies of Windows Server Editions
  • Visual Studio Professional 2013
  • Kodu Game Lab
  • numerous SDKs
  • more
They also have a link to GitHub's student education program which includes:
  • $100 credit for cloud hosting
  • a free .me domain for a year
  • a year long SSL certificate
  • CrowdFlower (data collection for your programs)

1. Head to the DreamSpark website.
2. Create an account.
3. Verify it. (This can be done through a school email address, a school ID card, and a few other ways.)
