Tomorrow, Saturday 14th June, Blocktopia's first Pixelmon event server will open for your enjoyment!
(While we generally avoid modded servers, this mod provides us with an exciting opportunity to have a unique and rememberable event, plus Pokémon is pretty cool anyway, so we'll make an exception!)
What is Pixelmon?
Pixelmon is a great little mod that (as the name suggests) brings Pokémon to Minecraft. Apart from the obvious awesomeness of there being 310 modelled Pokémon to find, catch and train, there are Pokéballs to create, HMs to find, Pokémon Centers to discover and hilariously absurd Pokémon sounds to hear. What more could you want?
How do I get it?
Pixelmon is a Forge compatible mod, so installation is dead simple! There's a decent guide for you on the Pixelmon forums, which you can find here: http://forum.pixelmonmod.com/viewtopic.php?f=85&t=16216. Once that's all installed, you are ready to join us at the bottom of this post (remember to select the Forge profile)!
What's the point?
Well apart from having a load of fun and messing around with your mates, we'll be holding a Pokémon Trainer Tournament when the event draws to an end, the winner of which will be awarded a magnificent 'Pokémon Master' badge on our TeamSpeak server! All in all, it promises to be a great time regardless of if you win the tournament or not.
Anything else?
Not for now, nope! I'll add answers to any common questions here as they come along to help you all know what is going on and how to get involved. This thread will be updated to notify you as to a launch time tomorrow. If you would like some more information about what is possible in this mod, take a look at their wiki which can be found here! Get downloading - I look forward to seeing you all there!
Your chests will be automatically protected when you place them, and so locked against unwanted individuals. You can add people to your friends list to allow them to access your chests with:
/chest friend add [name]
Or you can completely unlock it with:
/chest unlock (While looking at the chest you want to unlock)
Hopefully this should help eliminate drama around stealing. Enjoy!
The Rules:
Don't get too ahead of yourself, this is no free-for-all, do whatever you want type deal. The server (and mod) places focus on PvE, so you'll find that PvP is disabled and chests will be automatically locked to their owner/their friends. This isn't to say that you can't fight each other, of course you can...you just do it with Pokémon! It's a friendly server, so the atmosphere should reflect that.
As well as the Community Guidelines, you should bear in mind the following rules when playing on this event server:

- Stay calm - it's just a game
