Bryant, with a grizzly grin on his face, pulls a small sack out of pocket and dumps about half of it against the wall on both sides [and in front] of the window as he says to Jacob
"Well of course I do!"

Bryant, still grinning, hands Jacob a match.

"Alright, have at 'er"

Jacob accepts the match, grinning to his friend
"You certainly know how to make an entrance Bryant, let's light 'er up."

Jacob uses the match to light the contents of the sack.
((Yay!))

Hssssssssssssssssssssssssssss...

Sparks fly as a couple specks of the grey powder light up red. The hiss turns into a shriek of a teapot and rings in the ears of everyone in the vicinity. Sparks fly several feet into the air, and the two in the alley smartly take cover.

The threshold meets, and the entirety of the powder explodes! Chunks of broken wood wall, street, and glass fly, leaving about a 6-foot-sided square gap in the side of the bar. Rubble from the street pours down into the bar, creating a ramp of debris down into the basement floor. Everybody in the basement stops what they are doing and attempt to peer through the floating dust.

In flies through a dwarf, with his large axe in his hands. His dust and debris-filled beard sweeps behind him, and he lands with a loud crack on the wooden floor.

A human also bounds forth from the smoke, bearing sword and shield. He also lands with a crack on the floor, which when he does so, a loud moaning from the wood is heard supporting the roof of the basement.

You're not quite sure how much supports you actually broke from that blast, but staying inside for a lengthy period of time may not be advisable. A voice in Jacob's head reminds him that his job is to extract Brand and Faust as quickly as he could, and a battle with this other mysterious group may lengthen this time a great deal.

(( JKangaroo , ReyvnNova uhtr5r Old_Man_Oak_63 Do what you guys would like to do right now in this situation ))

"Ah hell. This makes things more complicated."
Faust proceeds to equip his bow and draw an arrow.

(Is the half-orc within range?)

((Yes, but in GURPS it takes two turns to fire a shot with a bow, so you preparing your bow will be your action for this turn. Since you were the first to post, I'll let you be at the top of the combat round. However since Old_Man_Oak_63 and uhtr5r are coming in as a suprise, I'll let them take their actions first before the other guys and Brand.))

In the back of his head Jacob remembers his job was to get Brand and Faust out of there as soon as possible, but try as he might racking his brains for an answer came up with no solution. He had no doubt in his mind that Marin had not made Faust aware of their involvement in extracting the forged so he somehow had to convince the Elf they were here to help. Not only that but then they had to pursuade Brand somehow to come with them, and that just seemed like an impossible task.

What words could he use? What could he honestly say that would cause both the elf and forged to trust him? Upon seeing Faust knock an arrow to her bow and aim at the half-orc, Jacob realised that in some cases, actions speak louder than words. Noting that the man wielding the crossbow is within reach he decides that prehaps aiding them in battle would be a good way to start earning their trust.

Jacob rushes the man's position with his sword in his right hand, and shield in his left but just as Jacob swings his shortsword at the man he stumbles over a piece of rubble from the explosion and his swing falls wide.

((Tried to attack-move, need a 9 to hit rolled an 11, oh well lets see what happens))

The axe is a blur in the air, hitting her with a thud in her right shoulder, with a loud crack as the steel breaks her bones. She lets out a shriek and falls off the wall, landing roughly on the floor. It doesn't look like the bow-woman will be firing a shot off anytime soon.

(( uht's axe hit and did max damage to her. JKangaroo , I'll let you go next. ))
