embedded image filesize limits

We should have a restriction similar to the signature one on the filesize of images within posts
AFAIK, even images in spoilers load
Some of us have limited download allowances in data plans
This is is unacceptable. Larger pictures should be linked to directly or compressed beforehand
Example of ridiculous 4.6MB image here in the OP

If a different browser is an option, Opera does offer a "Turbo Mode" which actually compresses many parts of the page, including images. "A compression rate of 80% can be achieved, in part by reducing the quality of images."
If switching browsers is not an option, maybe if you search around on the web you could find an add-on that would work similarly for FireFox?

Though, I do agree that people shouldn't be posting 4 MB files directly in threads. You can't really even appreciate it that much directly in a thread since it's resized down.
Always post smaller compressed image that links to full-size image.
