I have little comment on area of map:
Circle of 7.5 km radius has area of 177 sqare kilometres.
This means ~177 million square meters. We won't run out of ores any time soon.
Your math is a little confused I think.

kilo = 1000. 177 x 1000 = 177 000. That's less than 1 million. :)

Edit: just noticed the smiley doesn't convert to an image automagically anymore. Backwards smiles shall now reign supreme! :-)

Internet tells me its 17.671.458.656,25 square meters. Thats more than one million square meters. Your maths seems off here. Unless my math is off but my math was done by a site on the internet so it must be true.

Well even with consistent 100 players at all times we won't run out of ores.

~3.097 diamond ore per chunk.
(3.097/16)*π7500^2≈3.421*10^7= 34210000 diamonds.
;^)

Let's just assume, enough diamonds to make a large pure-diamond kingdom.
Granted, you have to mine all those diamonds. which will take quite a while, even if the full community contributes.
I bet this is possible on smps with 200 people on all time :p

Yes if you converted units of length.
But area is like: 1 sq. km = 1000x1000 sq meter.

177 km² = 177 (1000 m)² = 177 * 1000 * 1000 m² = 177 million m²
Yep, I'm this bad at math. I didn't square the kilo.
