How much time will you be able to spend staffing the server each day?
If I do manage to take up the position, I'd have to hop about Create and RoF, which I often do - typically on a weekend I'd be able to serve for about 4 to 5 hours, given that I've got no school work. On weekdays if my workload isn't terribly big I can always pop on.

Otherwise, I'm free most of the time and rarely go on vacations, which means given an emergency, I'd be able to handle it as long as I'm a awake and my laptop's with me. As for my total ontime - I've clocked about 6 days, 6 hours (Based on the statistics page) in total, adding up both pre-wipe and post-wipe.

What do you think the responsibilities of an operator are on this server?
An operator is the face of a server - How an operator acts, how players see the server. I've had the privilege of welcoming a couple of new players on Create, which did manage to stay for a while - it is incredibly important for operators to make new people feel welcome. Nice operators can always be something fresh, especially when you're used to large servers where it's hard to get attention (That's the appeal of communities isn't it? =D)

Operators, as their name suggests (I am convinced, however, that the term "moderator" is vastly superior due to how it more accurately describes the job, but it appears to me that calling it "operator" will increase my chances of being accepted), operates RoF - make sure everything's running smoothly, rule breaks are handled with minimum compromises, and players are able to have fun with minimum disruption. This requires a fair bit of coordination, the ability to respond to player queries, and patience to handle problems that may get a little frustrating at times.

An operator has another important role too, especially on RoF - to ensure that gameplay stays fresh. Operators have to make sure that player feedback is tended to, whatever it may be, and to offer help to the building and generation of new content on the server.

Of course, an operator must be to a certain extent, outgoing and likable - RoF's somewhat about socialising and talking about things afterall. Operators need a sense of humour, and they need to learn how to listen to people - to draw attention away from themselves and onto other people, and to understand and appreciate things that might otherwise seem boring. Operators need to learn how to engage in conversations, and to make players feel part of the family.

What sets you apart from other applicants?
I am, for the most part, a little crazy about things - I have crazy ideas, and I do the craziest things. Either way, if there's a way for me to have fun, I'll probably do it. That is, I really treasure fun and enjoyment, and it is my pleasure to make sure everyone enjoys themselves.

I'm very patient - I don't get frustrated with difficult things easily, and I am able to formulate plans and carry them out without going crazy over it (Rather ironic compared to the previous paragraph, I know xD). I've settled player requests and I've been willing to help out to the best of my ability.

I know a decent bit about how the server works - I've fixed floods, settled griefs and worked out a couple of house modding cases with my limited trusted abilities (Fixing floods with sponges Dx). I am extremely familiar with most of worldedit, including //g and //deform and //replace =perlin and all the commands people don't usually know about. I have experience with several block-logging plugins, including CoreProtect. I am also familiar with the BanManager plugin installed on RoF. I am familiar with Plotsquared commands, since I’ve used them a fair bit over on Create. I am also somewhat familiar with basic mediawiki formatting. I have basic understanding of code (enough for me not to have my brain implode whilst debugging)

Of course, when it comes to spreadsheets - I excel at it.

Yeeeeeeaaaaaaaaaahhhhhh

Forgive me.

What do you believe your greatest weaknesses are as a player and/or staff member?
I can be a little insensitive at times. I've definitely grown a fair bit when it comes to maturity and my ability to deal with all sorts of people since I first moderated Create, but I can go a little too crazy when it comes to pointless roasting and whatnot. It's something I've dealt with, and I think I'm learning. I've done some pretty silly things in the past, but these experiences have taught me a couple of things.

I am an introvert - I tend to be extremely aware of how others might look at me, and I used to have a fear of others finding me annoying (I still do D=). I am generally friendly, however, and I am capable of talking about almost conversational topic!

I consider my timezone as both a weakness and a strength - it's not terribly common after most of my Asian/Australian comrades left that the server is somewhat empty when I'm wide awake D; (Come baaaack). This means that I'll probably be left out when it comes to staff get-togethers, or events in general.

How would you approach a problem that you are unfamiliar with?
Evaluate the situation and come up with a plan or outline or idea or solution that minimises problems and keeps players as satisfied as possible. If it has to do with rather consequential things, such as problems in event organisation, player rankups and restores that involve large quantities of stuff, or server plugin magic, I'll need to consult higher-ups so that any irreversible mistakes won't be done.

What previous experience staffing on Blocktopia servers do you have?
I've unfortunately never served on Blocktopia's wonderful servers. I have however, served on EscapeRestart's Minecraft servers - I've been a moderator on Create since January, and I got to help out with moderating and creating Solitude from February to May (after which I got promoted to admin for a short while)

I haven't seen you on recently (that's because of my job and being away) so I can't really give a vote. You seem like a great player and are helpful. But for right now until I see you, it's a 0, leaning toward +1. (it won't let my see the buttons or color the numbers while I'm using my phone for this.)

I haven't seen you on ROF as often as I would have liked. That could also be a timezone thingy and that is not the problem I have with you. I sometimes find your responses a bit too curtly. In my opinion sometimes they come over as rude or not caring. Somehow I annoy myself over it and I don't if it is something for me personal, or if others feel this way too.

You are doing a good job on create, so I can't complain overall. I hope you will have a great time modding on ROF. 0 for me, but it is leaning to a +1.

I view you to be a wonderful staff member on the servers you have staffed and you are thus really trustworthy. You are rather helpful to new players. However to me the biggest plus to me is your timezone, since we have no staff members from that part of the world.

With all of that said I am happy to give you a +1

Hey Mulbery,

I haven't seen you online very often, but your application looks very well and when I saw you you were a nice player. You already have staff-experience which is also positive. I cannot give you a +1 because I didn't see you often enough. So I give you a 0, leaning towards +1

Hi Mulbery Hill,

I have had the privilege of seeing you on the server quite frequently. You are friendly to the people around you, you're helpful, and you are a valuable player. I haven't really examined your behavior from a potential staff point of view, to be honest I rarely do that. Given your responses to the application questions, and the responses of other staff members, whose opinions I hold in high esteem, I can say that I am confident that you would be a great addition to serve alongside us as a ROF staff member. +1
