Just an idea, probably pointless, but anyway.
How about having a thing on the /who command that tells you what date the person you're stalking became staff?
So like /who pjaj would have on it something like:

Became staff on: 30th Jan 2012

or however you think it should be said.
Also, maybe having it so that part of /who isn't shown to nonstaff doing /who.
I don't know. but there it is. my next (probably pointless) idea

You could simply ask them, or ask Alkatraz instead :p
Yeah, I have a spreadsheet with SOME staff members dates (it's a bit out at the moment, I'll update it soon)!

But yeah, I don't think it'd be all that useful, and I think it'd be difficult to back-date, it'd probably work for new staff but not old ones.

Also, god knows how long 0x3c0 and KingSam have been staff for! (Although server logs might be able to tell us if they go back far enough as I know the IRC ones don't!)

Erm..I don't know. I'm pretty sure it was maybe three weeks or so before July 19th 2010 - I'd been promoted to op, got a job and was worried it'd conflict with staffing. That doesn't coordinate with the server start date though, so I'm not sure.

I really...don't see the point of this.
