As we all know, 1.9 just came out and with it came a new type of PVP. I have played this new type on a few kit pvp servers and i have to admit, i've found it kind of fun. It is more tactical now which I like. So, which pvp version do you prefer, 1.8 or 1.9?

I can see the 1.9's possibillites for the next SMP. If you're in a situation where there are a group of people trying to kill you and you run to the top of a tower (envision that the tower is right next to the walled part of the town you're in) while they are coming up, you can literally glide off with the wings pack and off the top and over the wall into freedom. Hopefully in this situation the others don't have this as well.
Shields are also a great addition. Besides armor in 1.8, nothing else could protect you besides running away (pure Monty Python fashion xD). So this is ultimately a +.

Neither, I prefer PvP long ago before enchantments. When food would heal you and bows couldn't be drawn back.
