afaik purses and clothing aren't made by the same companies
They don't need to be.

I'm not really sure what's so confusing about this post, companies are fully capable of making deals with each other. If you can think of a better reason for companies to make pathetically tiny pockets exclusively in womens pants, lay it on me.

A more practical reason is because lots of women's clothing is slimfit and such, and adding pockets would cause odd bumps to the clothing which are meant to hug tightly to the figure.
Meanwhile, men's clothing can afford to be looser and therefore has room for pockets.

consumerism is too deep man

But honestly, if a girl wanted functional products, she could probably find something suitable enough if she digs around just a bit.

Thread closed, reasons are as follows.

~ Question posted is inherently sexist
~ Can easily lead into a far deeper argument on feminism.
~ Most suits have fake pockets, argument is null
~ Similar reason we don't all wear coats with 12+ pockets, for many Style > Functionality. Isn't too hard to answer this question.
~ etc.

In future please put more thought into the topic of your post.

If you have an issue with this, feel free to pm myself or any other administrator.
