Do trusted get demoted for inactiveness?

Short answer: Yes.
Longish answer: Generally yes, but it depends on whether or not they contacted the HCs to tell them they wouldn't be active over a time period. But yes, if you don't meet the required time for each week, you will generally be demoted.

Its one reason why we have the weekly voting. Since the head staff can't be everywhere at once, we use weekly voting to supplement our knowledge of OP and trusted activity levels. If 100 people vote, and they all say that a certain staff member has not been seen, then they likely haven't been seen at all, and are inactive. The playerbase essentially becomes our eyes and ears.
If you didn't know, weekly voting is updated every Wednesday by me in the "Announcements" section with the title "Lava Server Voting [Date]," and has a plentiful amount of instruction if its your first time voting. We greatly encourage voting, because if a small amount of people vote, then the results mean a lot less. So voting every week helps us more than you know. :)
