DayZ Standalone

With the DayZ standalone now on steam for €23,99 I decided to buy it.

Pretty swanky game. Manages to keep me distracted for hours until I somehow manage to slip over the edge of a rooftop, produce a high pitched 'eeeeeek' and read "you are dead".

In all seriousness though, this game is nice. It's in early Alpha and there are a lot of bugs due to that, but it will only get better over time. It follows the decisions of its community from what I've read and there's a decent wikipedia set up for it.

I've always wanted DayZ since Arma II, but never had the PC for it. I hope Rocket ends up making DayZ Standalone more compatible with older PCs, but not in a benefit toward them.

I just hope Rocket ends up making it better than the DayZ mod, considering the DayZ mod has all sorts of things now, like buildable forts and stuff.

I won't deny that the game is absolute horse shit. It's in Alpha so you can at least expect it to get better. I'm not going to defend it though. I like sneaking around instead of fighting so the bugged combat is not a problem for me. The bugged zombies aren't a problem for me either. I like it, but the game is definitely a piece of shit at the moment. A polished piece of shit that could pottentionaly grow its own corn.

Potential is the keyword for this game, and any and all games that exist in Alpha and Beta stages. <3
