Dear Blocktopia! I'm quite new to the world of building PCs, or, even understanding the good brands for "Windows/Microsoft" computers. I've been using an Macintosh computers for most of my life as my Father doesn't exactly support windows for his business - therefore, I'm completely new to the world of good PCs. (I have used Windows at school)
Well, I've heard that building your own computer is cheaper and more resourceful, but, I'm not very educated in the process. I'm pretty much proposing an idea or a brand of some sort. (specifically something that may fit a budget).
I know, I know it may sound silly and I probably won't get much out of it but I would not like to raise the bar higher than $1,000. (trying to get even cheaper than that).
Also, I live in Australia so many parts from Amazon are unavailable.
If you have any ideas, hit me!
I'm attempting to get a better computer as mine is horrible (it's running on an intel core duo and some crappy video card)
