this operates under the assumption mafia claims now are gonna be identical to mafia claims in X amount of days

mafia are forced to make those sort of non-targetting/unprovable claims on a day 0 mass claim, which are going to be alerted as RED FLAGS since everyones defense against 'blending roles' seems to be 'they wont appear suspicious' then like lets choose to be wary and suspicious of them????

on later days, mafia are equipped with more information from other peoples action claims, from dead people flipping, from maybe action results their mafia buddies have told them during the night, allowing them to bolster a targeting claim which to me is less of a red flag but for some reason everyone here seems to be under the assumption that claiming any role that can target someone is a red flag when really it should be the other way around

like im super bad at expressing this stuff

also thats a decent point part of my wavering-ness on raxo being suspicious was that that claim seemed too unlike him to say but that would work

Adding on to mooglie, it's also that mafia has to make their actions equal to whatever they claimed today vs whatever they lie about later.

Example, if mafia claim abilities that only affect economic scale/themselves, if they are seen visiting someone it's a red flag. Or if mafia claims to have a roleblocker ability which they actually have, when they can't roleblock safes they need to roleblock without raising suspicion

It forces them to stick to these rushed claims versus a planned out lie they can change and adapt when they are confronted in the future

ah yes me with my easily provable investigative action. i was being a little in the shadows as cop - though inffy i really have no opinion on massclaim, i think it's two different ways to play where they can both work fine and be fun.
