Typing styles

since i started going on the gang garrison 2 forums, my typing style has completely degraded into a mess of noncapitalization and deliberate grammar mistakes. for example, i've started substituting "what are you doing" with "what u dong" (even in real life, it scares me). this entire paragraph is also me not giving a shit

notice how i almost never finish a not-giving-a-shit paragraph with a period

However, when I first joined the Minecraft Forums way back in '08 or '09 or some shit, it was a perogative to come off as intellectual and sound like I actually understood the laws of English.

In a way this seems a bit two-faced; i assume most of us adopt different typing styles in order to appeal to different audiences. is there something wrong with this? Is this something you guys do often when conversing in different contexts with different people? is my post annoying you because i'm changing styles midsentence?

Uh, I just type how I would write normally with emoticons, of course. Well, sometimes i rite liek dis but that's normally for jokes with people on Zombie or t47k1ng l1k3 th15 as jokes as well, although I rarely talk in 1337 for jokes.

I tend to type like this when I am posting on forums or generally anyplace where you're not talking to a specific person.

When I am chatting with someone, I sometimes don't bother typing the period at the end of the sentence

It's somewhat uncommon for me to use emoticons nowadays with the possible exception of Minecraft.

I type grammatically correct with periods and all. I only don't have a period when typing small phrases (e.g. Heyo, Cool, Cya then). I used to type horribly. Joining several online communities matured me up a bit. I use some terms to show how I would say it in real life (e.g. 'cause, li'l, etc).

I am fine with most people's typing styles. I only hate whhh333n p33Ple 4Ct liiK3 tH31R k33yBO4rD i5 bR0k3n.

On the forums, it's always professional. This is also usually true in-game, except when I'm tired or excited. However, get me on trivia, TeamSpeak, or the IRC, and I type with no capitals or punctuation. I always maintain good spelling and grammar.

I usually try to type properly without mistakes and with proper grammer when I am on forums or in game.

In game I usually use Emotes more and occasionally shorten long words, like Coorinates(Co-ords). And I dont use periods at the end of short statements

Anyways, I pretty much use proper grammar unless I'm somewhere like teamspeak, where I don't usually bother to capitalize and punctuate my sentences.
