The Quad-Complex is seven floors of excellent service. Guests are given access to the first six floors, which include buffet tables, an arcade, and even a pool that is perfectly maintained. The walls are a dull shade of green. Most of the lights are ceiling mounted. The bedrooms are even more luxurious. Two beds for each room, as well as a couch that can be morphed into a third.

The seventh floor is a VIP club that is only offered to prestigious guests, or ones with a lot of luck. Expect to find gold-styled toilet paper, and room service offers a deluxe meal. Steak that is grilled to perfection, not the rubbish that's presented from a cobbled-together furnace.

Unfortunately, there’s about to be a terrible accident. The Mafia is present within the four-star hotel. They might not be the only danger within the walls as well…


Supernatural Hotel

Welcome to the hotel, guest. Your lovely hosts for this Blocktopia Mafia Adventure will be Alpha102 and Prizyms.

How to Play

Guest, it appears people have a variety of motivations when it comes to getting through life. Some work the honest way, taking an honorable job and providing lots of good services to people. Very few people have been granted omnipotence, like Alpha102 and Prizyms. Listen to them well, and obey their rules.

Other people, resort to devious methods. Murder, lies, and perhaps a few false toys.

There are three main factions in mafia. Town, Anti-Town, and 3rd party.

The town’s goal is to get rid of all the anti-town members.

The anti-town, or Mafia, aim to get all of the town eliminated. They get a private conversation to talk to each other each night period. The mafia chooses one player each night to perform a mafiakill.

3rd party roles have unique objectives. They seek to complete their objectives, and are capable of accomplishing them independently from the town and anti-town. If a 3rd party wins and the game has not reached an ending point, the game will continue with the 3rd party able to remain participating. It will be announced if a 3rd party role wins, but not who has won.

In this game, 3rd party roles will be referred to as Supernatural roles.

Days and Nights

The story will begin with a night period. Please accept that you might be killed off within the first night.
Each night period, the Mafia will speak amongst themselves and decide on one person that they want to try to kill, as well as who will be preforming the dastardly deed. Mafia members with additional abilities will also declare them within that conversation.

Other power roles that have an action at night will send the omnipotent Alpha102 and Prizyms their action. This should preferably be done within the role confirmation private message that will be given at the start of the game. Night ends when all power roles have submitted their action(s).

When day comes, everyone will get a vote in who to get rid of. This goes until a majority vote has been reached. Then the next night starts.

How to Vote
Please bold every vote you make. This makes Alpha102 and Prizyms’s jobs much easier.

The Rules

As written by Alpha102 and modified by GmK. There have been a couple more modifications to them.
Last statements that must be made clear right now. You are not allowed to make a last statement after you are killed in this game.
In addition, a whole new section labeled “Quitting” has been added.

Be respectful and polite.

- You can NOT edit posts. Make a double post instead. (Editing posts should be disabled in any case)
-You are not allowed to make last statements after you are dead.
- If you have not signed up to play mafia, do not post in the game thread.
- Do not rate posts (ex. Like, Dislike, Agree, Disagree) after you die in mafia. Rating posts instead of making posts while you are alive is discouraged as well, as the posts are the life of mafia.
- You are not allowed to use the -In a conversation- status as a tool against someone.
- NEVER post a screenshot with PM's. If you do, you will be kicked from the game with no chance of alternates replacing you.

Honesty and Cheating

• In all interactions with the moderator, you must be honest.
• Do not contact any player in or outside of the game about the game unless specifically allowed to by the moderator. When allowed, only do so in the specific manner allowed. You are free to talk to people about the game in a way of alerting them to new posts, etc., as long as you don’t talk about things happening.
• Do not attempt to access another player's information by technological means (such as hacking).
• Do nothing that would be considered cheating.

Gaming the System

• Do not quote your role PM, take a screen capture of it, etc. You may paraphrase the role PM.
• Do not attempt to analyze the mechanics of a role PM in comparison to other players. For example, "the fourth word of my role PM is town." Or "my PM was sent at 11:23, when was yours?"
• Do not attempt to use a system of robust cryptography, etc. Do not use small or invisible text to attempt to avoid detection.
• Actions that involve "bets" or other outside-the-game contrivances to try to confirm a player are prohibited. Examples include, but are not limited to, avatar bets, replacement bets, etc.
• At no time should there be pre-game alliances made.

Activity

• You are expected to be an active participant in your game. Do not flake.
• If you know you are going to be absent a particular amount of time, post in game and PM the moderator that you will be V/LA. Please include the date you plan to be back and posting.

Lynching

• Each player gets a single vote to use during the day that they may change as many times as they wish to vote for any player.
• When a majority of players are voting for an certain player, that player is "lynched" and removed from the game.
• Players may vote for "No Lynch." If at least half of the players vote for a "No Lynch," the day ends without a lynch.

Behavior

• No racist, homophobic, sexist, etc. language may be used.
• Harassment of an individual player is NOT permitted. It is the nature of the game that players will be antagonistic toward each other at times. However, it should always be kept in the spirit of a game.
• Always play to your win condition. Never sabotage your team's chances simply because you're angry at them.
• Do not discuss ongoing games in the game.
• Do not discuss this game anywhere else with anyone else.

The Moderator

• The Moderator will post frequent vote counts.
• The moderator reserves the right to alter any rule in the game including any of the rules found in this document.
• If the moderator makes a mistake on a vote count, please address it in thread in bold.
• PM the moderator with other concerns.
• The moderator has the final say.

Quitting

• When you sign up, it is expected you are capable of remaining interested in the game throughout its run.
• If you have decided you can no longer be a part of this wonderful adventure, send a private message to the moderator announcing you are leaving.
• Under no circumstances are you to reveal your role while you quit.
• If you think you are losing the game and cannot remain motivated to play, do not give up and reveal your role in resignation. Be a good sport and see your loss through with class.
• The moderator is expected to treat you with respect throughout any possible situation regarding quitting.
The Roles

Remember to ask questions if anything about these confuse you! This is an open setup, and every role within it is located here.
Town-Sided
4 Regular Guests-The vanilla town members. They can vote each day period.

Sane Cop-Each night, the sane cop can target one person to investigate. Town roles show up as innocent, Mafia roles show up as guilty, and Supernatural roles show up as innocent. The player who receives this role is told they are a Cop, and will show up as a Cop upon death.

Paranoid Cop-Each night, the paranoid cop can target one person to investigate. Town roles show up as guilty, Mafia roles show up as innocent, and Supernatural roles turn up as supernatural. The player who receives this role is told they are a Cop, and will show up as a Cop upon death.

Doctor-Visits one person each night to save. The doctor may not target himself/herself. The doctor will not be informed if the save is successful or not.

SWAT Officer-Visits one person each night to kill.

Floor 7 Director-At the starting night, the Director chooses three players and puts them into a room together. During each day period, the Director can leave one message for the chosen players that will be seen at the beginning of the next night. During the night, the chosen players may converse until the night ends. The room will stay active even if the Director dies, but without messages from the Director.

Barman-Each night, the barman may offer free drinks to one player. The chosen player is roleblocked, and may not perform any night actions. Players will not know if they got drinks from a barman due to hangovers.

Rough Sleeper-Any player who visits the rough sleeper will have their name revealed to the town the following day on a complaint board.

Toymaker-This role starts with three items, and may visit one player and pass out an item each night. The items are a Knife, Crystal Ball, and First Aid Kit. Each item can only be used once. The Toymaker may not use any items.
Knife-Visit a player and it kills them.
Crystal Ball-Target a player and it gives you their alignment. Mafia roles turn up as guilty, town roles turn up as innocent, and supernatural roles turn up as innocent. This item does not count as a night visit.
First Aid Box-Visit a player and it saves them if another roles tries to kill your chosen player.

Items may be used in addition to other actions players may have on the same night. Items cannot cannot be used within the same night they are recieved.
Mafia-Sided
Stalker-Visits one person each night and receives their role name. They will get the result privately at the end of the night.

Hooker-Each night, the hooker may decide to keep a player busy. The chosen player is roleblocked, and may not perform any night actions. Players will not know if a hooker visited them due to pills.

Lockpicker-Visits two players and switches all other night visits between the two. If Alpha102 is hit by a killing attack and is switched with Prizyms, Prizyms is hit with the killing attack instead. This does not affect night visits that Alpha102 and Prizyms make themselves.

Terrorist-If lynched, will explode and kill the player who last voted for them. No one is safe from the attack.

Saboteur-This role starts with three items, and may visit one player and pass out an item each night. The items are a (Fake)Knife, (Fake)Crystal Ball, and(Fake)First Aid Kit. Each item can only be used once. The player that receives these items will not know they are fake. The Saboteur may not use any items.
(Fake)Knife-Visits a player and tries to murder them, but the knife ends up killing the player who tried to use it instead!
(Fake)Crystal Ball-Target a player and it gives you their alignment. Mafia roles turn up as innocent, town roles turn up as innocent, and supernatural roles turn up as innocent. This item does not count as a night visit.
(Fake)First Aid Box-Visit a player to try to save them, but it turns out the needles are poisonous! This item doesn't work.

Items may be used in addition to other actions players may have on the same night. Items cannot cannot be used within the same night they are recieved.
3rd Party/Supernatural
Siren-Targets one person at night(this does not count as a visit), if this person visits the Siren for any reason, that person is killed. The siren wins by killing two players in this manner. The siren cannot be killed at night except for using the fake knife. All other night targets have their normal effects.

Ghost-Can send out an anonymous message to a specific player once per night. (This is not a visit) The Ghost can survive one night attack against them. If the Ghost is hit, their win condition changes, and they lose the ability to send out messages. The Ghost will be informed if they get hit.
Win Condition(Normal): Wins with the town.
Win Condition(Changed): Wins if lynched.

Alien-Visits two players per night and attaches probes to them. The Alien dies if they visit the Ghost or Siren.
Win Condition: Wins if all other living players are probed.
Other
@Prizyms will be my cohost for this season. He has done a wonderful job with creating a couple roles as well as providing a lot of aid towards balancing this season so far.
@GmK has also helped with balancing, and made sure permissions are set up correctly. Thanks!
Roles will be chosen randomly.

The Guest List

There are no experience requirements for signing up. You cannot reserve spots either.
The guest list will be capped at 20 players.

When you sign up, please acknowledge that you may receive any role, even a plain guest role. Make an effort to stay active during the entire game as well.

You are also allowed to sign up as a replacement, should the unthinkable happen and someone needs to leave the game. Replacements are contacted by a private message in the order of the list as needed.

Alpha102 - you might want to clarify the Ghost role (didn't catch that)

Does the Ghost get informed when his win condition changes, or won't he be told (and he continues to send messages but they don't end up finding their target).

Yes, the Ghost will know if their win condition changes. I'll add that to the main post.

If anything else is unclear, please speak up! That applies to everyone!
