Hi. so I noticed threads in the "news" section get like 15-25 or so likes and positive ratings, and as far as I know, that goes straight to the person who made the thread, and they end up getting like 2,000+ positive ratings cause of it.

So I'm thinking those simply shouldn't count towards the person and just stay on the thread instead.

Thanks for reading!

[Serious] Why I think the news posts ratings should be removed

I don't see why this is needed, I doubt anyone really cares that much tbh (some people do but i don't think it's very important)

however i've always felt like
well

post ratings

post ratings

these are ratings for posts, not for people
so i think they should not be viewable on a profile or something, per-person
but only per post
but again i don't think anyone cares

I might be wrong in saying so but after a brief scan of the news sections it looks like the threads that get the most likes warrant the post likes. Like the one mentioned about the "Overhaul" surely that does deserve likes for what it is about no? Also I'd say 15-20 is a bit excessive for each thread in the news section, the front page itself has only a handful of likes per thread excluding some important updates of admin changes/new lobby.
