It's always nice to integrate new features into the server, but while the new advancement system is customizable, it will not work with AoD's achievements.
AoD rewards its players with experience when they get achievements. Apart from that, players are currently able to display their achievements in chat as titles and before their names in tab. These features will not work with advancements. Players already have achievements before 1.12 was introduced as well, meaning that if advancements are integrated, players will have to earn them again. The current achievement system is optimized for AoD and utilizing advancements will require many changes to the server itself.
