Well, generally when servers are suggested for other games (I'll take TF2 as a example) I've generally noticed two different answers normally...
1: Funds.
Well of course donations/funds are a problem. But I also think a question to this: When Blocktopia/TheOne started out, were we instantly getting donation funds? I think if new servers are attempted in other games, players drawn to these servers may add to the donation pot as well.
2: Players.
Another one I've noticed is "Not enough players play in this community already to start a new server for it". Well, generally if a server is popular people join it. No matter what game were talking about. So if a server is started and can be kept decently popular, players will start and join more and more.

Well I think it would be nice for new game servers being added to Blocktopia to keep it going long and prosperous for a long time. No, I'm not suggesting Blocktopia is going to close in a short amount of time. But in all reality: Will MineCraft always be the game it currently is? I don't love this community for MineCraft: I love it for the people here. A group of great people with non-abussive staff. And even if its not MineCraft it would be awesome to see Blocktopia live for year upon year as a gaming guild.

Lets be a little more open to new stuff within this community, and remember we aren't a community made by MineCraft, but by good people.
