[BCOLOR=#ffffff]Other information about making a map:[/BCOLOR]
  • [BCOLOR=#ffffff]If you are unsure of where to go to make a map, our Create server provides you a plot that is more than large enough for map space. Don’t be afraid to ask for help with building if you need it! EscapeRestart has plenty of builders with creative minds.[/BCOLOR]
  • [BCOLOR=#ffffff]You do not need to border your map with a bedrock wall or barrier blocks. We will border the map with barrier blocks for you. The only thing we'll probably do to bedrock walls, unless intentional, is remove them.[/BCOLOR]
  • [BCOLOR=#ffffff]95x95 is the average for an RoF map. Your map can exceed 100x100 blocks, but be aware that if it is too large, it may get declined. It is highly recommended that you limit the amount of air available if you do end up exceeding 100x100, so that way the lava waves will be able to flood on time.[/BCOLOR]
  • [BCOLOR=#ffffff]Any kind of plagiarism (this includes bordering terrain-land on Create!) will automatically be declined.[/BCOLOR]
  • [BCOLOR=#ffffff]It is helpful to include either a World folder for your map or even a .schematic! Not required, however. If you give us a warp to your map on Create, that will suffice.[/BCOLOR]
  • [BCOLOR=#ffffff]Your map can have multiple spawns. If you just include them in the screenshots, we will find them. Please ensure they are visible (using bedrock).[/BCOLOR]
  • [BCOLOR=#ffffff]Try to avoid having nodrop, nobreak and noplace blocks in your map. They only limit the players! [/BCOLOR]
  • [BCOLOR=#ffffff]Try to focus on gameplay: As pretty as your map may be, its playability is key. [/BCOLOR]
  • [BCOLOR=#ffffff]If your map was created for some kind of building competition, please add a [Competition] prefix in your thread title. [/BCOLOR]
[BCOLOR=#ffffff]Other information about making a Survival map:[/BCOLOR]
  • [BCOLOR=#ffffff]Be as constructive and unique as you can! No one likes a dull flatgrass map that hardly has anything interesting to exhibit.[/BCOLOR]
  • [BCOLOR=#ffffff]Please do not add ores to the map! The server will take care of that once it is added onto the server. The ores are randomized. They will not be in the same spots they were in previous rounds.[/BCOLOR]
  • [BCOLOR=#ffffff]You are allowed to build with any type of block that you prefer in your map, but if the map is accepted, we will look into an excessive amount of a type of block that is included in the map (for example, if you built a castle made of diamond ore), and we may add that block onto the no-break or no-drop list.[/BCOLOR]
  • [BCOLOR=#ffffff]Ensure maps have a sufficient supply of wood and food! When making your map, please consider what the experience would be like for someone who had never played before, and don't assume that there will be more experienced people on to aid them.[/BCOLOR]
  • [BCOLOR=#ffffff]Please make sure that items that are distributed in chests aren’t excessive.[/BCOLOR][BCOLOR=#ffffff] This means that you cannot simply add a stack of food (or anything else for that matter) in one chest. Use common sense here and be courteous.[/BCOLOR]
[BCOLOR=#ffffff]Other information about making a [Classic] map:[/BCOLOR]
  • [BCOLOR=#ffffff]Use a[/BCOLOR][BCOLOR=#ffffff] [Classic] [/BCOLOR][BCOLOR=#ffffff]tag when submitting your map.[/BCOLOR]
  • [BCOLOR=#ffffff]Classic map submissions are done the same way as a normal map. The only exception is that the materials used in the creation of the map, as well as any items on your map, are completely at your discretion. You are welcome to make it out of diamond blocks, as long as it provides good gameplay value and looks visually appealing.[/BCOLOR]
  • [BCOLOR=#ffffff]Keep in mind that during a Classic round, creating a home is much easier. Please create maps that allow for the increased creativity that Classic rounds are made for![/BCOLOR]
[BCOLOR=#ffffff]Other information about making a [Deathrun] map:[/BCOLOR]
  • [BCOLOR=#ffffff]Use a[/BCOLOR][BCOLOR=#ffffff] [Deathrun] [/BCOLOR][BCOLOR=#ffffff]tag when submitting your map.[/BCOLOR]
  • [BCOLOR=#ffffff]Try to consider both aesthetics and gameplay![/BCOLOR]
  • [BCOLOR=#ffffff]Please also make sure that your map is reasonably difficult, and not too short. Deathrun maps are traditionally short, but they should still be a challenge![/BCOLOR]
  • [BCOLOR=#ffffff]We encourage you to include new and unique ways to get through a map. You’re not solely limited to parkour! The use of mazes, team challenges and other stuff can make your map really stand out. [/BCOLOR]
  • [BCOLOR=#ffffff]Your map can be set to any speed- Be it Llama, Turtle, Cheetah or African Swallow! You are not limited to the default speed. [/BCOLOR]
[BCOLOR=#ffffff]Other information about making a [KotL] map:[/BCOLOR]
  • [BCOLOR=#ffffff]Use a[/BCOLOR][BCOLOR=#ffffff] [KotL] [/BCOLOR][BCOLOR=#ffffff]tag when submitting your map.[/BCOLOR]
  • [BCOLOR=transparent]The map can be any size and players can spawn anywhere, although it’s wise to keep your KotL map around the same size as the current ones. Bigger or smaller ones might not work. Ideally, include 4 spawns in your map. [/BCOLOR][BCOLOR=#ffffff]Try to keep the size of your arena reasonable![/BCOLOR]
  • [BCOLOR=transparent]Players should have an initial spawnzone in which they are safe from PvP, before they can enter the actual arena.[/BCOLOR]
  • [BCOLOR=#ffffff]Try to include obstacles/areas to make PvP more exciting. For instance, try adding areas which allow for tactical advances and defense. [/BCOLOR]
  • [BCOLOR=#ffffff]We encourage unique ways to get to the top: Parkour, hills, whatever! Be creative! [/BCOLOR]
  • [BCOLOR=#ffffff]Try to make sure that certain spots (especially the top!) aren’t too overpowered. Keep the arena fair and balanced! [/BCOLOR]
  • [BCOLOR=#ffffff]Keep in mind that KotL only lasts for two minutes and 45 seconds! Try to make sure that players can get on top of the ladder in a reasonable timespan. [/BCOLOR]
