so the least common multiple of 2,3, 9
would be 18

My guess would be :
The neighbour brought 1 more cow for the 3 boys
So there would be 18 cows altogether
Oldest son got 18/2 = 9 whole cows
Middle son got 18/3 = 6 whole cows
and Youngest son got 18/9 = 2 whole cows
9+6+2 adds up to 17 cows
So the neighbour then takes his cow back
Is that it ? O_O

OK, so let me get this straight.
Neither the sky or other people knows about it.
You said the Earth knows about it, but you're the only person who knows about it.
So... you're the Earth?
What is something that only the Earth knows about...
would it be the creation of the planet? No but the sky would know that.
How would the sky not know it? Maybe it happened underground.
Maybe something like the core of the Earth being created? Is that it? I doubt it xD
