As blocktopia expands, the high costs of maintaining servers are limiting sone of the potential options of the server. here I have compiled a list of ideas, some suggested for how to lower server costs in blocktopia.
1. turning adventures and tournaments into a special, limited time server.
lets be honest, almost no one goes on a&t. if it became a special servr, not only would more people play it because it would be gone soon, after it was removed no more server costs would be directed torward it.
2.have days where all the server are down but one. As dumb as that sounds, it would bring the community together, and introduc people to servers they havent been on often, bringing variety.

if you guys have any ideas, post them below, and if any of you agree/disagree with them!

1. You might not see A&T crowded with 30 people but it's still a server that's frequently used by the chunk of the community. And the costs did not go up from 150 to 160 or something after it's added. Since i don't know BT's exact server limitations (I'll be slapped in the face when i ask, i'm sure) i'm sure A&T isn't such a trouble

2. For fucks sake. That's like we run into your house. Take your PC and leave you with a puzzle "HERE HAVE SOME VARIETY". Yeah. Nobody wants that. As GmK says: Players have to be ensured it runs. And they get to choose the experience they want to enjoy.

Furthermore.
What need to we have for reducing server costs?
We meet the 150$ bill every month. I don't really see much of a problem here. Am i missing something?

I just found it funny how you noted A&T, not our current event server. Even with the current Pixelmon server, our costs still run to 150$ a month, unless @GmK pays out of his pocket for this (Which deserves many thanks) .

Correct, we pay $150 monthly rent for the dedicated server, no matter if we run one, five, or a gazillion gameservers on it. So downsizing the amount of game servers we have running won't change a thing.

The only thing that could happen by reducing the amount of game servers is to take a smaller dedicated server, that would indeed reduce the cost. But then we can only run 2-3 servers max - and honestly, we like our variety better ;)

This is also the fact we are so grateful to our donors that do not receive anything in return but a forum badge and a warm fuzzy feeling, it's amazing that they support us the way they do and enable us to offer the variety of servers.
