You want to apply for a moderator position here at EscRes? Awesome!
Here's a short guide on how to write an appropriate application, if you fail to follow these steps we won't spend a lot of time looking at your application and it will get declined.

1) You can only apply if they're accepting applications for the specific server. Here's a list of the positions you can apply for and whether or not they're open for applications.
  • [Minecraft] SMP moderator: Open
  • [Minecraft] Army of Darkness moderator: Open
  • [Minecraft] Rituals of Fire moderator: Open
  • [Minecraft] Create moderator: Open
  • [GMod] Trouble in Terrorist Town moderator: Open
  • [Forums] Forum moderator: Closed
2) Each server has its requirements you have to meet before you may apply. Ontime is server specific, so n hours ontime means n hours on that server. With reference we basically mean approval from a current Moderator+ on EscapeRestart. If you need a reference please ask one in private for it.
  • [Minecraft] SMP moderator: 24 hours ontime
  • [Minecraft] Army of Darkness moderator: 24 hours ontime, 1 staff reference or 2 map helper references
  • [Minecraft] Rituals of Fire moderator: 24 hours ontime (pre-wipe counts), 1 staff reference
  • [Minecraft] Create Moderator: 24 hours ontime over at least a month (This includes you leaving for a while and coming back. A 'while' is a month minimum) and be at least have the rank of Builder
  • [GMod] Trouble in Terrorist Town moderator: 100 hours ontime (Resident rank or higher), 1 staff reference
  • [Forums] Forum moderator: N/A
3) Make a new thread in this subforum (staff applications) and copy & paste the following format entirely. Your application should consist of these questions together with your answers on them.
What is your in-game name? (Please also give any alt accounts, and if you're applying for our TTT server, your Steam ID.)

What timezone do you live in?

How many hours have you played on the server for?

How many hours can you spend helping out the server per week?

What prior staffing experience do you have?
(It is not mandatory and it is not a problem if you do not have any.)

What do you think the role entails?

Why do you want to be a staff member?

What qualities can you bring to the current staff team, that set you apart from other applicants?

How would you approach a problem that you are unfamiliar with?

Is there anything else we should know or you want to tell us?

Got any builds you'd like to show off? (Create only but not mandatory)

Please list your references:
(For most applications at least 1 reference is mandatory, must be a current Moderator+ on EscapeRestart!)
4) After you have given answer to every question you just have to give your thread a clear title (e.g. ...'s TTT moderator application) and add the appropriate prefix. The prefix is an abbreviation of the server you want to apply for (e.g. if you want to apply for Rituals of Fire use the RoF prefix)

Staff will now look into your application and if you are a good candidate you will hopefully be approved as a new moderator!

Thanks for going through the application process.
