Picture of the Week Competition!
What is it?
Each week, there will be a competition for 'the best picture of the week'. The winning picture of that week's competition will earn a neat prize and have their artwork featured!

How will it work?
  • Every week, there will be a thread posted for the POTW on Saturday. The thread will contain information about the current week's event (IE. The theme)
  • During the week, you have a chance to snap and submit your picture. Just post your picture on the thread with an inventive caption. The picture must be posted before the next Friday.
  • Every Friday the SMP staff team will review the submissions and decide on a winner!
Prizes?!?!!
Not only do you get your name/picture featured as the weeks winner but...
The winner of each weeks competition gets 500 Shillings!

Competition Rules:
  1. The photo must be taken on the server (Unless told otherwise). We need proof of this!
  2. The photo must be taken on the week of the competition!
  3. The photo must be taken with the default texture pack. We don't want people winning due to having awesome TP's
  4. No using any mods to take the photo (Obviously)
  5. Please mention (in your submission post) who helped you with the photo. If your photo wins; the prize will be shared (Incentive to do it yourself)
  6. Have fun, and be creative!

Something like this:
This is from old LoP, but the concept is still the same. Include something thats uniquely identifiable to LoP in a second shot.

  • Thank You

Would you consider that on some occasions (not very often) it may be allowed to (even encouraged) to use shaders and/or other texture packs? While minecraft truely can be beautiful, nothing I have ever seen beat a good shaders mod (and high resolution version of the default texture pack with it). While of course it should usually be vanilla only, it can be very fun to see how great the server can look with the right tools.
