Question - You see user and long-time administrator, Malcovent abusing his Admin powers by berating a user and insulting him publicly, how do you proceed?:
Shoot him a PM and tell him he looks like he needs to cool off, ask him what's going on. He's usually good about not being publicly rude to people he dislikes so something's probably up. I guess I could contact another head staff if things got out of hand too, but, like, they wouldn't, Malc's cool. (nice job with the tag to notify him of new applications, by the way
)
Question - An argument breaks out in a thread, both sides have some valid points but ultimately it is derailing the thread and starting a flamewar, how do you proceed?:
Make a post tagging both of them saying it's getting out of hand and that they need to take it to a PM. Hand out a warning to any participants who don't comply.
Question - A user publicly contests with your decision as a moderator, with a public post disagreeing about your decision regarding a moderator action, how do you proceed?
Explain that this should be taken up in PM, lock the thread, PM the user and bring a head staffer or two into the convo as well to act as mediators. Complaints are welcome but sorting them out publicly just makes us look disorganized.
