Right, I feel as now is the time to bring this up. According to this wiki article, Primus does not attack players unless 'provoked or threatened' and we're supposed to offer back stuff if we don't need it.

HOWEVER, I have noticed several raids occurring when players do it without someone coming and attacking us and sometimes simply raiding for the 'fun' of it. I've started this thread because maybe I'm/other people are just confused on what these rules mean, maybe they're not the correct set of rules for Primus, and maybe people just might not know about them. Something here obviously isn't right, though.

I hope this thread can serve as a place for discussion surrounding these rules, and to do so I believe a few key questions need to be answered:
  • Is this the right kind of policy for Primus? Does it need to be changed? Refined?
  • If so, what counts as being 'provoked or threatened'? What is proper (legal) revenge/defense if someone is provoked/threatened?
  • What do we do with people who do not uphold these rules? What kind of punishment should be enforced?

I believe that Primus, should not be the one's initiating conflicts that could escalate into wars, until we have fully established ourselves. By this, I mean that when the time comes, we will be ready for any obstacle that comes our way.

Anyways, that's just my opinion on the matter of raiding others that is unnecessary.

@Defiant_Blob I actually LoLed, SRSLY.

But as to the OP...Well, I have not raided yet personally...but I have picked off the occasional stray person. This is purely because of my Class-Rogue. Killing Mobs can't be my only source of XP- It's hard to Mob hunt during the day, 'cos they don't spawn of course, so I can;t exactly sit there all day. It's true that we don't want all out war, but I think the restrictions need to be slightly tweaked so it makes gaining XP for the Combat-Based paths slightly easier.
Just my honest opinion.

Ah, I didn't think about this as I'm a crafter. Good point.

A few suggestions (I'll update the wiki if all OK);
Since we're no longer at war with anyone (Aeres are now NEUTRAL to us). Any overt actions on other families are discouraged, that means, don't do anything that will piss them off.

Anyone who is not an ally of Primus and is found on Primus land can be assumed to be a threat. This does not mean you should attack them immediately; use common sense! Keep your distance, tell them to leave, warn the rest of the family and let them go on their way if they go.

Allies are welcome on Primus land at all times, but at their own risk. Make members aware that you are visiting and make a few announcements in local chat, to avoid any nasty encounters! Having a Primus member escort you around is the safest option.

If you are robbed/killed by:
1 family member
2+ family members (potentially an act of war)

You should;
Report it to a high ranking family member and they will discuss the issue with the other family lead.
Mentally add that member the kill-on-sight list.

You should not;
Take matters into your own hands and escalate the situation.

You are free to deal with bandits (unaligned citizens) as you please.

Well, maybe we need a room with signs where the KoS list is ;)

I say, for now, to try and take a defensive stance in our land. If more than 1 person from another family attacks us we should kill those people and discuss the situation with the other clan's leader(s). This is just my opinion feel free to critic/ like.

Since this thread is about raids and PvP in general...I have 2 friends who play on this server. They joined my family (Primus) because they couldn't decide for themselfs and I was the only influence. However, they can get a tiny bit annoying at times and I feel like killing them. Since they live in my neighborhood (one on the same street) can I kill them? Also, I'm thinking orginized spawn killing would be a quick way to earn points.

Oh I just read the post by listings...I was robbed and killed by a Dagon. I was in the spawn and was pushed out by the Dagon. I was talking to my friend (above) at the time and didn't realize it until I was half-dead.

Yes there is no need to triple post...but having a bomb and "I want retribution" separate from the other messages just kind of gets my point across better =3
