Hello members of escape restart. Because all of the staff have pretty much disappeared from the face of the earth the League of Legends community will now be taking over the community to redeem it and bring us to new heights. Since minecraft is now a dead, hopeless shell of what it once was for small community upstarts, we shall now be taking our community away from a game focused group, to more of a social group. For starters we will be now permanently closing all of our permanent servers to make room for our future improvements. Minecraft will no longer be a permanent anchor tieing us down to our roots, but it will become a good memory of us all to remember as we drift to a brighter future.

First of all we would like to announce our integration of league of legends into the community. League of Lethargy is currently the biggest online game in both terms of active players, and in the competitive seen. With more players than any other game from any time, we feel this is the best direction to take our community for expansion into a nice and pleasant community. For anyone new to League of Liam Neeson, we have a friendly and inviting community (Besided Vati and Omni) to help you get started in your adventure to fame. If you have any questions feel free to either PM me or hop on our TS channel. As long as you dont be extremely unpleasant or blast music (sandstorm is an exception) we will all be glad to assist you on your magical journey. Hopefully though our efforts, we can bring our community into a positive experience of league through sandbox mode.

As for our other servers will will be permanently(?) closing out our minecraft servers until further notice (a.k.a. next weekend when we announce our new and improved server host.) We will later make an announcement on the future of our minecraft servers. As for TTT, we are currently fixing some backend stuff to help advertise it more, however currently we are lacking the technology to do so. Other game servers such as CSGO, TF2, and Path of Exile shall also be receiving community support. As for any other servers you may desire, we will also be doing weekly event servers to help broaden our horizons for other games.

Additionally, due to our social reforms of the community we shall be integrating it with social media such as Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Reddit, Twitch.tv, and Tinder. Although these means will not be forced upon our userbase, social media is the best and easiest form of advertising. Public server voting sites and lists will also be used as advertising and people who vote will be rewarded perks such as forum badges, more profile customization, as maybe even custom ranks.

Now in order for our uprising to work, we need to instill new leaders to our community. We shall not have anarchy like twitch.tv's chat nor shall we have communism. Here i will announce our new community leaders

  • Infernofox - Head Administrator, PR specialist and consultant

  • Psycho - Head Administrator, Backend specialist and server manager

  • Iguana - Teamspeak manager and Server manager

  • Ronaldo - League of Legends community manager

  • Snapflash - Advertising specialist and social recreations manager

  • Lee Scar - Community Manager and Server Manager

  • Omni - Mascot

Also a special thanks to Superstein and Nill for the hard work at keeping the community alive. Both have resigned(Been overthrown) until further notice. Anyone who is currently staff on our servers will keep their position. Servers will still exist, just migrated. More will be announced next weekend on this.

Thank you all for your time and patience for the administration team to step up and make a decision on these matters. We have all talked about and discussed these changes extensively (I asked paceboys if the changes were good and he said "it was K") Hopefully, though a new social direction and bringing the community together through event "Let's Play" servers, we can reach high activity as we had before.

If anyone has any issues or disagreements in regards to this post, please come on to the escape restart teamspeak server and poke "Vino." I will gladly join a private room with you and discuss these changes and any concerns you may have.

Seriously though, its been over six months and nothing, NOTHING was agreed on yet. Most discussions in the community are through a few individual players. Nothing is being discussed in moderator forums, and although i have no access to admin forums, i doubt much is happening there too. If staff dont have the desire, time, or effort to put into managing servers and the community, why keep trying on false hopes.

P.S. Please don't ban me, although the post itself was somewhat of a joke, this community seriously needs reform if its gonna go anywhere

EDIT: Also, i know Nill said he would post an update this weekend, but there were also many other promised updates from various staff members over the past few months. Maybe having monthly meetings at the least will help. The lack of communication bewteen head staff and the rest of the community is a huge issue and honestly a one month gap between saying were moving foward and now with almost 0 updates is a little much

TL;DR: Ignore post, ignore big image, read spoiler

I just want to pop in here and say that I am extremely disappointed that this thread was made in the "News" section. And what is even more disappointing, is that a Mod decided to make this thread in the "News" section.

I'm ok if you wanted to post this somewhere else. But these joke/troll threads in official channels are the things that cause certain permissions to be revoked. Permissions that could be useful in certain occasions.

EDIT: I just realized that this shows up on our homepage. The page that greets all new and old players to our community.

Agreed with Major, while inferno brings up a good point, this not only doesn't belong in news, but is a clear-cut abuse of powers. The point could have been made in a status, or even in a thread in discussion. Another thing is, this doesn't suggest any solution, or even so much as invoke discussion. We all know that things have been sliding, and that many efforts to increase our communities' popularity have failed, but things are being done.

Honestly, I don't see any reason for this not to be locked/deleted

This community has been arguing over direction for over a year now, and honestly whats left of the community is slowly decaying into nothing while there is little to 0 communication going on between head staff and the rest of the community, let alone lower ranked staff. TTT had zero change in months, minecraft servers are nearly dead. Forum activity is at an all time low. And this post, a half-joke post has lasted over an hour so far without any staff intervention.

Honestly i blame the staff as a whole. At first i was waiting for change, but its obvious change isnt coming. At this point I dont even care what direction the community goes in. Event servers, Social groupings, Full on minecraft, i dont care. I just want something to be done and im sick and tired of waiting. No one else seems to be doing anything at all to progress the community and im tired of it. All these threads, all these arguments, enough already. Just do something and stop waiting.

You tell me upper staff has big plans, you tell me new announcements are soon. I've been hearing this for months. I look at my steam friendslist. I look at forum activity, and i rarely, if ever, see any head staff online. Are they even doing anything at this point?

So yes, is this a troll post? Partially. Am i abusing my power as a moderator? Absolutely! But In the last year, when has a community post made a difference, when has a little argument made a difference in the change of this community. I don't want to sit back and watch what was once a flourishing and inviting community die out. So if no other Head Staff are going to put something forward soon, show communication to their own community.

Call it abuse if you want, but whats left of MY part of the community still feels like a community, and we all had a good time with this post while showing a point.

Meetings need to return for sure, I'm thinking bi-weekly so we can be more transparency, but it still isn't as big a deal if a meeting is missed. Monthly meetings obviously aren't working (Or happening)

There's a right way and a wrong way to point these things out. It's a shame you decided to do the wrong way. How is this constructive and how is this going to motivate us to work for the people who are just going to blame us for everything?

You're not wrong. We haven't done anything. But put yourself in our shoes:
- Multiple admin resignations meaning us remaining, mostly new, admins have to take over the roles these past key figures held
- Me being on away, nill being on away, Psycho/Baker trying to do things on their own
- A lot of our time we can dedicate to the community being used for upkeep, issues, etc
- Apathy and no motivation to work

An actual post will come soon, but as much at fault we (admins) are, it is hard when the community likes to shit on us, each other, and in general - not an inviting place whatsoever. Yes, we are here. Yes, we're going to try and get things sorted. Yes, we're going to say wait, but we do mean it. No, this post doesn't help (but hey the spoiler was alright)

This is a pretty stupid thread but I'll respond anyways.

First of all this is a pretty stupid and passive-aggresive way to get your point across even though there is definitely some truth behind it.

Now for the main point, the administration is supposed to manage the servers. The thing I've noticed lately is that does not always happened. I see often that head staff don't dare to do or try anything and this can feel to the community/server being "abandoned". When things need to be changed and nothing really happens then it's obvious that questions will be raised from the community regarding the administration (administration is what I use for both directors and community admins) .

I think it's not always bad to push the administration into being more proactive but it should never feel like they are being shat on. Whereas I have understanding for things taking it's time and nothing happening immediately (reasons that superstein gave) , it can't always be used as an excuse. I always try to give options/ideas when complaining but that does often not result in anything either, it'd be nice to atleast see some response.

I think shout-outs should go to tnmjimbob and ComputerGuy_ for managing their server well, when I look at AoD it shows that they are proactive in updating/improving the server. I'd like to see that more on the others servers & community.

I don't know the full extent (or even half of that) for what you staff members might be facing in life, but I can understand if people feel the need to go a little radical to get your attention to bring back communication.

That said, i think a post this 'radical' would have been best used for a last-resort hypothetical situation where the staff would have completely forgotten the community existed (which evidently, they have not).

And also, our Minecraft servers are not dead; there may have been a massive hibernation where virtually no one got on for any length of time back around May to July, but as of late, there have been a somewhat healthy amount of players on in both AoD 2.0 and Create, thanks to the release of AoD 2.0, the AoD 2.0 map competition, and probably 20-40 minecraft burn-outs turning back into interested players in a short time span.

Now if you'll excuse me, I have a certain thread I would really like to expand and us to raise an army of squid-kids to dominate the Splatoon ranked batllrd.
P.S. if the thread I mentioned is taken seriously enough, we could potentially get more active players into the community, and even if it's not taken too seriously, I can still try. this 'P.S.' is not related to the thing I was talking about above, so please hold this in a slightly different yet similar(?) regard.
