National Grief Day?

I was wondering. Maybe we could have national grief day, but the day before, the Map gets backed up for the last time, and save it, the next day, National Grief Day, No PvP for peace reasons, grief grief grief, with exceptions that Staff can make, and make a backup of that, and release both map downloads c:

this in my mind is like letting 2 year olds get drunk for a day then saying that it wont affect them later in life. basiccally what im saying is that this can incourage behavior that isnt good for our servers.

For a immature kid yes, but they grief already so why does it matter?

Why do we need to encourage bad behaviour on the server for this?

When I first joined the community when MC was 1.7.3, someone almost convinced me that when the server ended, it was Grief Day. I would've been banned that day had it not been for our helpful staff. C:

We had a grief day back in SMP v1 when we switched to SMP v2.
It didn't cause any harm or bad relations.
Even the admins took part in it, spawning hundreds of TNT and destroying spawn town.

Plus, only braty people can be encouraged to do braty things. I don't see how having a bit of explosive fun can encourage bad behavior. Its not like the server substitues as a kid's parent.

I love the idea it won't cause any problems in my opinion just as long as people know that this isn't allowed everyday.

Really, don't grief on server, as new people may be confused.
And people want to see what has been built.

No thanks, leave my baby as it is, go to the hippo church and generally have fun by exploring (without grief) the map.

When the map will be downloadable, then you may grief it in your free time.

And generally, I am just far too busy to change any file on SMP, Elysium is finished though, but we are testing all the time for loopholes and what not, so I hope you all don't mind that I am working on the new server.
