Epic rock ballads aside, I might as well get my greeting over with so you can go about your merry way.
I am Koschei, another old-timer who joined the community way back in good old January '10. One day I decided to drop by the lava server and played for a couple rounds. I liked it, so I kept coming back. Then I joined the forums, continued playing on the lava server, and before you know it, I was a trusted.
Soon after, I was promoted to operator, where I began my reign of pure dread, ruling with an iron fist, and striking fear into the hearts of men (Translation: I was promoted to operator, where I began doing my part to help make the lava server a better place. I did, however, start a grueling, savage, and completely unnecessary crackdown on using caps). Then I got promoted to veteran operator, was granted the ability to use hacks, and learned various ad hoc and unorthodox tactics for getting those pesky griefers off the streets.
Eventually, lava server trolls and dumkoffs began getting to my head, and before you knew it, I handed in my resignation slip. Only then did I learn that more efficient server software was about to be deployed to get the job done better.
Nowadays, I'm just another old geezer who randomly pops in to various servers or makes ninja posts on the forums, although I plan to start going to the servers more nowadays to keep up with the times.
