Map has too few buildings and not many places for survivors to hide. Try to focus more on gameplay than the map looking good. Also, I am guessing you didn't want me to find this as it was hidden behind two smooth stone blocks but errr here it is.

I can see what you mean by "too few buildings". I'll try to add more and hopefully make some weapons less Over Powered. Also, anybody want another vehicle, please request.

I think making the island a bit bigger, not to mention making the rocks and such not as obviously World-Edited/Voxel-Sniped would help (in other words, smoothing it out so it isn't just a bunch of sphere stacked on top of each other).
With the way the map is laid out right now, the survivors would be slaughtered.

A few words of advice on items.

Power: Try to ensure that there are any disproportionately superior items in the map. This doesn't mean avoid any great items entirely, just make sure that more than one player is having a good time. Sure the human with the flaming diamond sword of doom is having a great time, but the hapless group of hunters with basic kits are hating every minute of it and either going afk at spawn or disconnecting. For reference, I'd say full mail armor + iron sword with sharpness I is the upper limit for player power before things start getting too crazy.

Location: Obvious "secrets" are best. Place chests in dark corners, behind statues, etc. Do not bury chests in unmarked locations with no visual cues. Otherwise it gives the impression that you've preloaded the map for your own enjoyment at the expense of others. This then causes angry rants from the server admins (for reference, please read http://blocktopia.net/forum/threads/psa-why-iguana-is-a-great-and-not-over-inflated-hc.5665/ ), and will make it less likely that your future maps will be accepted.

Not singling out your diamond sword in particular, just that I've noticed a disturbing trend in recent maps with overpowered hidden items.

I'd suggest smoothing down the mountains and as they said, make some more buildings and a bigger island. Maybe add some Dirt/grass to the mountains as this looks way to simple. Suggestion //brush sphere sand 5, and if you pile them together, they will form mountains. Good map though and If you keep up the work, you may get it accepted :)

Sorry for hiding that over powered sword and bow, I was just derping with the halo texture pack and then my dad came in (he doesn't like Minecraft) and then I forgot to take it out for showing. I am planing to make the island bigger though.

Hokay, I downloaded the map and took a look around. The super powered item isn't completely hidden since you've placed pistons so I believe you when you say it wasn't intentional. I'd still remove it, or at least remove the enchants. Other than that I'd recommend using the smooth tool a bit more on the mountains just to avoid the spherical look, and add a few more buildings. Overall the map is looking good, just needs a few more tweaks!
