You’ve just been flooded and it’s the end of the world. One moment you were happily posting memes in RoF chat, the next thing you know you’re back at the spawn and all your stuff is gone. What do you do in this situation?

Contact a moderator through Discord
The first thing you should try to do is to contact a moderator or a member of the staff. You should see if someone is in-game and alert them! If there are no staff members in-game, you can still alert them without leaving your game.

All staff members have a Discord account and are in a Discord channel which is connected to the game. You can “ping” them by using the @ symbol and then saying their name—like @Refrigerated. When you ping them, they will get a sound notification and know that they’re needed.

You can ping the following people:

Dessern
IQD
superhalo6
Tamzies
Wimali
Refrigerated / Refrigerated_Elements
SirComputer

Of course, you may not know all the staff members or you don’t want to manually ping them all. They may not even be in the channel. You can just use @here to alert all the people in the rof channel at that moment!

It goes without saying that you shouldn’t abuse this. Don’t ping a staff member unless it’s necessary. People don’t like getting pinged for no reason and it only annoys the staff. However, if you think there’s an issue (even if it’s a minor issue), you should always feel free to ping someone!

You could also just get Discord yourself (it can be used without downloading anything, in your browser, or you could get the client, and there’s even a mobile app) and send a private message to the staff member. If a staff member is online on Discord, they are generally always in the #lounge channel in EscapeRestart’s Discord server.

Be prepared. Gather evidence.
If it looks like no staff member is available, or it’s too late, you should try and get some proof. You could have recording software like Fraps, Dxtory, OBS or NVIDIA Shadowplay handy and just start recording when you notice someone breaking the rules. Afterwards, you could send this proof to a staff member. You can also just take screenshots or making the player admit what he did.
