Fire Emblem is a turn-based RPG. With a large team, you have to overtake the enemy, in many rounds and battlefields. When a character dies, he stays dead for the rest of the game (permadeath).

Fire Emblem: The Sacred Stones is probably one of my favorite games, ever. I have completed it 4 times, and loved it every time. (what's yours?)

A game has come out recently, Fire Emblem: Awakening. I will be getting it soon, any thoughts about it?

my favorites are the path of radiance and radiant dawn games. I just love ike. he's also my main in brawl.

My next favorite is the shadow dragon on the ds.

I want to get awakening, but i don't have a 3ds. that and pokemon xy are the reasons i would get one.

I played this game and snapped my fucking gameboy in half (not really, but still) I started when I was 9. I restarted when someone died because I am a pussy like that. I stopped playing when I was 10. Then I started again when I was 14, I did hella good (I knew what the game was telling me now; because I know english) and when I was 15, I finally finished it.

Holy shit, did I feel glorious.

Fire Emblem is a turn-based Tactical RPG.
I feel like you missed a large portion of the type of genre it is, Ealev.

Brilliant game series, nonetheless, though. I always feel compelled to start over whenever one of my characters die, or a character I could have gotten dies, though. I should stop doing that for at least one of my runs.

... On another note, why the heck is SSBB being brought into a Fire Emblem thread? Sure, Fire Emblem is in Brawl, but that doesn't mean Brawl is in Fire Emblem. Come on, guys... Think for once!

Do I need to create a Super Smash Bros. Brawl thread? This is Fire Emblem. :C
No, but... You should bring up some kind of Super Smash Bros. thread, for the game series in general. ;3

Super Smash Bros. Universe is coming out in like a year and I wouldn't mind having somewhere to post friendcodes and such.

Now, enough of me being a hypocrite, and let's get back on topic now, shall we?

Well, eviltomb said Ike was his main in brawl
Ike is a character in Fire Emblem, at least I think. So it relates to this a bit. (Pretty sure you know that already)

Anyways, I've played one fire emblem game, can't remember what it was called, it was that one with the girl with the blue hair and Ephraim. Whenever a character died, I restarted. But, dang! That game was good, spent a good while on it and sometimes played 3-5 hours straight in a day, some levels took real strategy because some enemies would have a risk of insta killing you or dealing a lot of damage. Wish to play the rest of the Fire Emblem games some day.

the Sacred Stones was the game that introduced me to the series. 3rd favorite :).

isn't that the only fire emblem with monsters that you can use for exp grinding? can't seem to remember it's been too long.
