Hey Escape Restarters, join us on July 16th at 8:00 PM GMT
to play a "friendly" game of Cards Against Humanity
on Tabletop Simulator.

In order to play, you will need to acquire a copy of Tabletop Simulator.
Right now, in the Steam Summer Sale, which will last until July 4th.
Tabletop Simulator is 50% off at $9.99.
Note: You do NOT need to buy any of the Tabletop DLC.

This will NOT be the only event held on Tabletop Simulator.
Future events on this platform are in the early planing stages.
And who knows maybe prizes might be involved in the future. ;)

Currently with the board I have set up. I am able to support up to 8 people.
The server will be a first come, first served. However there is sign up sheet which will guarantee you a spot.
That said, I can do multiple rounds to accommodate extra people.

Server Name: https://pyx-2.pretendyoure.xyz/zy/game.jsp#game=82
Password:
event

Sign Up Sheet
(I am estimating that each round will take around 2 hr.)

Round 1: 8PM GMT

Couldn't we use the free version at http://www.pretendyoure.xyz/zy/index.php?

Could arguably get more players

And that means I can continue being cheap
I guess that is true. However for this event I will be using tabletop simulator due to the fact I want to host other types of games on it as well.
That said, I can always host other CAH games on that site as well. Just at another time.

This. I'm not paying for something I'm not going to really use. Also you can play with more than eight on that site. You can't host an event with limited spots, even if you do rounds.. it's a wee bit silly. (Sorry for the bluntness)

It's a good idea, just maybe not ideal for everyone.

Both Octgn and Vassal Engine are free alternatives (though not as polished) that support Cards against humanity and many other board games. Might wanna consider those.
I looked at both of them. They looked really unpolished and not really intuitive.

I'm kinda lazy on setting up these events, so Tabletop Simulator is the easiest since I get the games from the workshop. It is very user friendly, looks great, good game moderation (key in offering prizes), has its own voice chat (prevents boosting and ghosting, again prizes), and setting stuff up on my end is very intuitive.

But if you want to host games on those sites, feel free. Maybe I'll eventually try out those sites.

It seems like you guys are worried that we won't play Tabletop too often. I am hoping to host, me personally, at least 2-3 times a month. And that doesn't count anyone else hosting their own. What I will try to do, is try find others to host even more games when I'm not able to. So hopefully we will play, at the very least, once a week.
