So Chrome stopped working for me all of a sudden. When I tried to open it up, it refused and did not give any messages as to why. Might be malware, dunno. Nothing got picked up on my end. But what I did to fix Chrome from misbehaving is the following.

If you get a browser other than IE, chances are you might have also deleted it. Bad idea, because if your browser stops working, you're in a pickle. Or so you'd think.



If you go into Program Files, you might find a folder called Internet Explorer. If it is there, delete the non-functioning browser.

Open up the folder mentioned and look for the file called iexplore and open that up. You are now in the first browser your computer had, which you thought you deleted. From there, go on and re-download the desired browser.

Ta-daah, you are now using the same browser as before and it's no longer pissy at you. Have a nice day.
