Pretty excited about Blackrock! Some additional info and important notes for discussion:
Preorders begin in three days. They come with a special card back that cannot be obtained any other way. Thoughts?
I think this would be frustrating to those wanting the entire set of card backs. The last time something similar happened (
the TeSPA card back), codes were being sold for outrageous prices on eBay and the like. It didn't profit Blizzard and was pretty dodgy. I don't think Blizzard will be doing offers like this again. Card back collectors were generally pissed off that this was happening.
Unlike Naxxramas, the first wing isn't free. This means a higher price in gold and money.
Good business model for Blizzard. Makes people pay more and I really don't think there will be a significant drop in purchases compared to Naxx. Combined with the pre-order bonus, I expect this will end up making them a fair bit of cash.
What other ideas or opinions do you have?
