Notes: There is more to the map than the screenshots show JSYK. This is a map based on Delville Wood, where the Battle of Delville Wood was fought in 1916 during the Great First World War. There is a small 'battlesite' with some pillboxes featuring British and German flags. Loot is scarce on the map. I just quickly threw this together and if (more like when but still :p) it gets denied, I'm going to work on it and improve it. It is very simple, and please note I am working a better map :D.

EDIT: The orange wool is the spawn. Only logs and soul sand can be broken. Only TNT can be placed.

Well, first off, I'd like to say it's nice to see new map makers, especially those enthusiastic enough to map in such a short time frame. However, this map unfortunately appears somewhat hindered in it's compatibility with AoD gameplay. From what I can see, you have done a good job in ensuring there are no unfair, or overpowered chests, yet, there does not appear to be enough food in the chests to support the say, 20 people playing. The map structure itself is also likely to bring problems from my eyes, due it being unfortunately rather bare. A majority of the map is simply trees and grassland, with very few structures, which, although may be more historically accurate to the battle, brings gameplay somewhat lacking in diversity. The fences which you placed presumably to avoid people leaving the map area, I found to not work when looking around, with several points where you can jump across. Also, did you import the forest from somewhere on the internet? As, if you did, you need to give the original author credit as well. From what I can see, this map is not quite ready, however as you said, you can work on it and improve it, with hopefully include more food and generally more places to go, hide, or explore.

True, I did not really take into account the food situation, and I wanted to add more structures, but I thought that would make it seem very repetitive, as I only had a few structure ideas. Also, I was aware of the jumping across the fence, although there wasn't much place to go after that, so I figured it wouldn't matter. You think more pillboxes would look nice? Tree forts too, maybe?

I've added alot more structures and food (I have a nagging feeling I added too much food, because there is a room with supplies to make three cakes, but has an iron door closing it off. There's a way in though :bounce: ) I added treetop access and there are now about three secrets in the map. I'm not sure if there is too much food, so please tell me if there is and I'll remove a bit.

Does this mean you have updated the download link? Or do you still need to do that?

Had another look round the map, but unfortunately it's still rather bare. The food situation seems to be much better but, other than a few mid-tree bunkers, it doesn't appear that too much in the way of stuctures have been added. It may be worth it to take time on the map, theres no rush, and it is by no means a race. The better maps are quite often the ones where you can see an exceptional amount of effort into a map, and the creator has taken time to think, "hmmmm I could put something there" or "this could be quite cool if I did this" so they can later reflect upon their work, looking to see if they have provided the right proportions of 'loot', variety, and places to go. Perhaps you could add an underground bunker system or tree-top walkways, but that's up to your imagination and style, maybe have a little brainstorming session, to help make this into an awesome, varied and fun map.

I agree, I think maybe you should add a bigger structure to it? not just a bunch of small buildings everywhere.
(Sorry about this late reply)
Yeah, like Baker said, I'm making an underground complex and some tree forts. I can tell this map is deny-imminent but I'm gonna re-submit the new one when I finish. Also, New Manhattan (my other map) is coming along nicely.

TANKSES they had some tanks at ww1 but I'm not sure about this battle. Anyway it would be coil with tankers either keeping q chest with TNT or shooting it. Some traps would be cool 2, and maybe some bows at strategic positions.

Did't see chest, but if it doesn't got iron sword+ leather armor in it humans look a bit UP compared to hunters.

Also the private class is the worst, I'd suggest buffing it a little bit.
Pyrotech is quite worthless to as a kit as it can only damage the hunters with fire and tnt and not with regular combat, I'd suggest to add it like a sharp I sign or so.

The reason that I want starting kits to be a buffed up a bit is that if you come late in game but every good stuff out the chest already has been taken means you only rely on your starting kit and those 2 kits are not good enough.
