Notes: I think that this is a far better design than my original map, both because it just looks more appealing and it also is a bit more balanced and wide-open. It should allow for a variety of play-styles (both hiding and fighting) as well as having some hidden little gems.

And, like last time, if there are any glaring errors please feel free to tell me! I think I've got it down this time, and so hopefully if any changes need to be made they will only be little ones. :3

The kits are well balanced and the map looks great. However, the biggest problem with this map is that it is too small, especially during the times when there are 15+people online, the survivors wouldnt stand a chance of surviving, however it could work well when there are only a few players online. The map would be much better if there was a village with a couple of towers surrounding the arena just to make it fairer for survivors giving them somewhere to run to rather than just running in circles around the arena.

So for the time being I'm going to give this map a -1 as I can't see this in its current form being played on AoD. However, I would like to thank you for your recent submissions, we really appreciate it as AoD desperately needs new mapmakers and their maps :).

Okay, coolio. Yeah, I wasn't entirely sure if the size would be too small considering the little passages and underground spots (hence why there's still the big circle surrounding the arena). I think a ruined little village or something would fit along the outside pretty nicely, along with perhaps some sort of little stonehenge structure. I'll probably edit it really quickly and just change a few things in the OP to fit with it accordingly (is it possible this could not be locked or anything since the map itself is gonna remain intact for the most part?)

And thanks for responding! It's always nice to get feedback on stuff. :)

Alrighty! So I've really just filled in the area outside the inner ring, adding a few secrets here or there and fleshing it out so that there is more space for the players to run around in. The only thing that really needed changing as far as the description goes is the radius size, which has been increased to 100. The Imgur album and the Dropbox download have both been updated to fit these changes as well, so have at it and tell me what you think! :)

Just downloaded and took a look around. Here are my notes:

Well constructed. The theme is well represented, and there is enough variety in the different areas to avoid monotony. I'm a fan of the little touches with the signs, switches, and hidden chests.

There are several "power" items present in the map that will shape how the players move about. I'd say they are borderline overpowered given the starting kits, but nothing insanely great such as full iron armor or an iron sword with sharpness, knockback, and fire. It should work fine.

I only see two items that need to be changed - the knockback hoe and the knockback fishing pole. You'll have to add a sharpness 1 to each of these items for them to work properly. Their base damage isn't greater than the hunter's damage reduction, and when a hunter "deflects" an attack, they also deflect any of the associated effects such as knockback, flame, etc. Of course I may be wrong on how these items work (hoes may have an inherent damage value), but I do remember the fishing poles in Relic without sharpness enchants not working on hunters.

Overall, the map looks great and should play well with the added buildings and hiding spots. Nice work!

Oh wow. I never even thought about the whole "Hunters soak up more damage" part.
The fishing pole actually isn't meant to be used so much as a weapon than just a gag item you could possibly try to use to get fish. But with the hoe I'll give it the sharpness 1 just to be on the safe side so that it'll work.

Thanks for the feedback! (And holy crap Guinessis liked my map !)

Edit: changed the hoe to have Sharpness 1 and changed an Iron Sword with FireII to a Gold sword with the same enchantment. I think that helps balance things out a bit better, though I know there are points where some monsters will spawn during the day (not that I really mind that, but I know some people hate the mobs :p)

Had another look around and the map and the extra roomcertainly lends alot to the gameplay and aesthetics of the map. However, I have found 3 items that need nerfing as the are too OP; The diamond sword ontop of the inner the wall, the fire aspect IV wooden sword as this gives 2 heart extra damage per second, and the knockbak VII hoe as this will knock players back too far for such an enclosed map where the hunters can only come from two directions.

Alrighty, fixed the weapons being a bit OP; diamond sword is now an iron one with Knockback I, wood sword now has just fire aspect I, and the hoe has knockback III. :)

Edited the map a little bit to fix a few weird issues I was finding with one of the piston contraptions, in addition to just adding a few little things to fill the map out a little bit more. Nothing substantial has been changed in terms of chest items or anything, so no need to worry about that. :)
