Put down your diamond swords and get take a break from blowing up creepers, because there are much more important things to do in Minecraft!
It's time for the 2nd TNT Tournament, it's been a long time since the first one, and the fight between red and blue team is still ongoing, but now personal reputation is on the line.
Are you interested in being known as Champion? Do you want to blow up community staff members? Want to know what the next batch of MiniMaps will look like? Or do you just want to make the TNT Staff feel loved?
If you answered Yes to any of those questions, or even if you didn't, Sign Up NOW for the Second TNT Wars Tournament! Who knows when the next one will be?!

The tournament is split into a number of stages
Initially there is a knockout stage to get us down to 32 players.
The second stage is a group stage with 8 groups of 4, with the winners and runners up from each group progressing through to the next round. During this round draws are possible, with each win worth 3 points and a draw worth 1.
From then on it is knockout stages straight to the final!

Each round has a set number of points for each competitor separate from your main tntwars points, so make full use of them and perhaps try those more expensive weapons you've been too cheap to use before! The tournament will be a level playing field and sort out the men and women from the girls and boys!
Final-700, Semis-600, Quarters-500, RoundOf16-400, Groups-300, Knockout-200.

"What will I get for being an absolute boss at TNT?" I hear you asking?
Well we chained KingSam to the server and made him code in a new weapon: Snowcherries. They're like cherry bombs from /cherryonly but limited edition and useable in normal TNTWars games! Not only that, but there are 122k of points, a title, custom entry messages, and the use of /nextmap up for grabs!

1st Place
[Champion] Title for 2 weeks, 25k points, 100 snowcherries, custom entry message for 2 weeks, 1 use of /nextmap per reboot for 1 week.
2nd Place
18k points, 60 snowcherries, custom entry message for 2 weeks, 1 use of /nextmap per reboot for 1 week.
3rd Place
15k points, 40 snowcherries, custom entry message for 2 weeks, 1 use of /nextmap per reboot for 1 week.
4th Place
12k points, 40 snowcherries, custom entry message for 2 weeks.
5th-8th Place
7k points, 25 snowcherries
9th-16th Place
3k points, 20 snowcherries
17th-32nd Place
10 snowcherries
Everyone who enters
5 snowcherries
Please note: If Sam is unable to make snowcherries, you will get snowbombs instead.

So, does any of that sound appealing?

Important Dates
Sign Up CLOSES: 6th April

Tournament Begins: 13th April

Note this countdown is wrong by one hour.

The plan is to finish the tournament by the middle of May, and so before exam period. But this depends on the amount of entries, and importantly the number of setbacks due to cancellations.

Marnixxie will be posting times for each round's games in a thread in TNT Wars Announcements. If you can't make a time, please tell us and we will try and work out a solution. But if you say you CAN make a time, please make sure you do so, we want to try and keep to a schedule.

We want as MANY people as possible to join in the tournament, there will just be knockout stages until we get down to 32 players for the group stage!

Lastly, a massive thanks to all the TNT Wars staff who have been hard at work these past few weeks making, testing, and naming MiniMaps as well as staffing on the side. Razinao has outdone himself on the coding of the new and improved tournament world, it is very nearly fully automated, with very little input needed by staff members to set up the matches, a massive step forward from the previous tournament, and hopefully you will all get to see it in action.
