That's quite hard to comprehend, really. In Minecraft terms, we're ancient, but we have survived, and our survival is all down to the community. It is the community who have constantly played on the server for the past 5 years, giving us the motivation to keep going and developing the server, and it is the community who have been with us for tons of great moments in-game over the years. So, I'll start this post by, most importantly, saying thank you.
However, it's now time to celebrate, and we shall celebrate in style! We will be kicking off the week on Monday 2nd October with double tokens, triple voting rewards, and triple cookies, which will last all week long. The voting rewards alone could earn you 210 cookies by voting all week long, and it's so incredibly easy to earn, so make sure you vote! (Please do anyway, by the way. We really appreciate it.)
On Thursday 5th October, the actual Lavaversary takes place, our birthday. For that, we have something special in stock. Realms will collide as maps join together to form mega-rounds. Expect hidden secrets and powerful (...diamond?!) loot as you explore these longer rounds. The special items will not be found anywhere else at any point ever again on RoF, and there won't be much available, so this is your only chance ever to find them!
It will be Saturday 7th October when the granddaddy of them all, Last Man Standing, will take place. This will take place at 8pm GMT (9pm BST, 1pm PT, 4pm ET). Battle waves of custom mobs as people die around you until you are the only one left. Will you make friends along the way, or will you go alone? How will you overcome the bosses on your way to clinching the top prize? No registration is required - just turn up on the night. Everyone will have the same equipment, so no matter if you've got 5 days of ontime or 5 seconds, it is a level playing field for all (items will be returned post-event). Even if you don't get a winners' prize, which this year is extremely stacked, everyone will be able to receive the celebratory event head after the event is over, which you can keep and mess about with amongst your friends for hopefully years to come. This event is always one of our most popular events of the year, with last year having a 68 person turnout, so I really encourage you to come!
